Travis Barker had fans wondering what was going on after sharing photos from a hospital bed this week, offering no explanation. All fans knew was that he had two important women in his life by his side. 

On Tuesday, October 6, the Blink-182 drummer posted two photos to his Instagram Stories showing him in a hospital gown and surgical cap. In one, his daughter Alabama Barker sat beside him, with Travis writing, “MY BABY GIRL CAME WITH ME.”

Alabama is one of the two children Barker shares with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler, along with their son Landon. 

 In another, his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, leaned over to kiss him as he lay on the hospital bed. “AND MY BEAUTIFUL WIFE BY MY SIDE,” he wrote.

There was no explanation for why he was in the hospital, what procedure he was having, or whether something serious had happened.

 The photos naturally left fans wondering what was going on, especially since Barker appeared to be preparing for some kind of procedure. After the surgery, he let fans know it was nothing super major. 

Why he needed surgery

On Wednesday, October 7, Barker revealed that he had undergone surgery after dealing with numbness in his arm, hand, and fingers.

“I had surgery yesterday,” he wrote on Instagram Stories. “My arm, hand and fingers have been numb since a show I played last month.”

Barker said he underwent a nerve test Monday after his show and learned that he needed a cubital tunnel release to fix the nerve.

Cubital tunnel syndrome involves compression or irritation of the ulnar nerve around the elbow and can cause numbness or tingling in the hand and fingers, per Mayo Clinic.

Kardashian and Barker have gone through plenty of highs and lows together. And while she’s clearly a supportive wife, Barker couldn’t resist making a joke about her expression. “Not sure why my wife looks so happy about this,” he wrote over the photo of Kourtney smiling beside him.

The couple has been there for each other through serious personal and health challenges. In 2023, she underwent emergency fetal surgery while pregnant with the couple’s son Rocky.

More recently, Barker opened up about how falling in love with Kourtney helped him confront some of the trauma he carried after surviving a 2008 plane crash. He credited their relationship with giving him hope and helping him eventually overcome his fear of flying. 

Barker’s history with his hands 

Barker hasn’t said that years of drumming caused his condition, but the issue is particularly notable for someone whose career depends on his hands.

The drummer has already learned the hard way that keeping his body healthy is part of keeping his career going.

In 2023, he injured his left ring finger during Blink-182 rehearsals, dislocating it and tearing the ligaments. The injury required surgery and forced the band to postpone the beginning of its reunion tour. 

At the time, Barker explained why having the procedure was ultimately necessary. “It was a hard decision to make, but ultimately I couldn’t continue to play the drums without it,” he said after the surgery. 

More than three years later, he’s once again making sure an injury doesn’t keep him from doing what he loves. “I wanted to get ahead of it and get it over with so that I can keep playing the way I play for a long, long time,” Barker wrote, offering a timeline for his recovery, “Should be good in a few weeks.”

He’s no stranger to the long road back

Barker’s decision to deal with the problem now also fits into a much bigger part of his story –  recovery.

The drummer survived a devastating 2008 plane crash that killed four people and left him with severe burns. He underwent numerous surgeries and spent years dealing with the physical and emotional aftermath.

He’s also faced other serious health issues over the years, including a 2022 hospitalization for severe pancreatitis. 

But even through those setbacks, Barker has continued performing, touring, and pushing his body to keep up with the life he’s built around music.

Demi Moore could have had a very different role in St. Elmo’s Fire – or no role at all. The Oscar-nominated actress was almost fired from the 1985 film just days before production began after showing up drunk and high to a costume fitting. According to one of the film’s co-writers, director Joel Schumacher was already considering replacing her with Madonna.

Carl Kurlander, who co-wrote the coming-of-age drama, shared the behind-the-scenes drama during an appearance on Reality Life with Kate Casey.  The role in question was Jules, a young woman whose glamorous exterior hides a serious cocaine problem.

 At the time, Moore was just 22 and still trying to find her footing in Hollywood, and according to Kurlander, she came close to losing it. Moore later admitted she was dealing with a cocaine addiction, adding another layer of irony to the role. “Demi was truly living the life of Jules when we met her,” Kurlander said. 

Moore allegedly showed up to a fitting drunk and high, and costume designer Susan Becker understandably went narc mode and alerted Schumacher. The fitting took place about 10 days to two weeks before filming, so he had to make a quick decision. 

Schumacher had dealt with addiction himself, so he met with Moore alongside producer Lauren Shuler Donner. The director did not sugarcoat anything: “Joel told me that he told her, ‘Go kill yourself on someone else’s movie,’” Kurlander said.

Shuler Donner helped give Moore another chance and worked with Schumacher on a plan that would allow the actress to stay if she could get sober before filming. “Lauren Shuler Donner, God bless her, worked out a plan with Joel, saying, ‘Look, if you can clean yourself up in 10 days, you can be in this movie,’” Kurlander recalled.

Schumacher wasn’t totally confident she would get her act together, and he had already met Madonna. At the time, he saw something special in the future pop superstar. “Joel had met Madonna. And he came back, and he said, ‘This girl is going to be the biggest star in the world. I could just feel it,’” Kurlander recalled. “And Joel was all ready to offer the part to Madonna.”

But Moore locked in and attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, and they even paid for her to have a sober companion throughout the shoot. By the time the cast sat down for the table read, Kurlander could see that something had changed. “She clearly had more than just cleaned up,” he said.

Moore has been open about just how difficult that period of her life was. In her 2019 memoir, Inside Out, she wrote about how her cocaine use had escalated into a dependency by the mid-1980s. But the fear of losing the film unlocked something inside of her. 

The film would become one of the defining titles associated with the Brat Pack, with Moore starring alongside Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson and Andrew McCarthy.

She reflected on that mindset in McCarthy’s 2024 documentary Brats, which revisited the actors and cultural impact of the era. “I was so fearful of failing, fearful of losing, and so desperate to fit in, belong,” Moore said. “My need to please was definitely on high alert.”

She also made it clear that she understood Schumacher and the production could have moved on without her. “They could have easily just found someone else,” Moore said in the documentary. “Because it’s not like I had any box-office draw. You know, we were all just beginning. I didn’t have anything to really warrant him sticking by me.”

At the time St. Elmo’s Fire came along, Moore was still a relative newcomer compared with some of her co-stars. She had spent two years on General Hospital and appeared in films including Blame It on Rio. A July 1985 Los Angeles Times profile described Jules as her biggest movie role to date.

In Inside Out, Moore admitted that saving her career was a bigger motivator than getting sober for herself. “If I’d had to give up the movie and go through the program to get sober for myself, I doubt I would have done it,” she wrote. “I just didn’t value myself enough for that.”

“But with the film at stake, and this enormous support from Craig Baumgarten, Joel Schumacher, and his colleagues, who I didn’t want to let down, I had something much bigger than me to fight for. And so I did,” she continued. 

Moore went on to maintain her sobriety for nearly two decades before experiencing a relapse in 2012. She later sought treatment again and has continued to speak candidly about her relationship with drugs and alcohol.

During a 2025 appearance on WTF with Marc Maron, Moore explained why she initially resisted entering treatment. Because her mother struggled with alcoholism, she had convinced herself that a program focused on alcohol did not apply to her own drug use.

“I was like, ‘No, no. You don’t understand. That’s my mother. I’m a drug addict,’” she recalled.

Moore has also spoken about how recovery changed the way she handles difficult emotions. In an interview with The New York Times, she reflected on what happens when someone tries to numb themselves rather than confront what they are feeling.

“I think what I know now is when you’re numbing yourself out, your discernment for things isn’t the same,” she said. “Drugs and alcohol just aren’t a right fit for me,” she added.

Lux Pascal and Jaden Smith crossed paths during a busy evening on the Paris fashion circuit. The actress and musician were photographed sharing a car after a Louis Vuitton event on October 6, adding another celebrity encounter to the closing day of Paris Fashion Week.

The musician’s connection to the French fashion house stretches back a decade. In 2016, he appeared in Louis Vuitton’s spring womenswear campaign, photographed by Bruce Weber alongside models Sarah Brannon, Jean Campbell and Rianne Van Rompaey. His pleated-skirt look became one of the campaign’s most discussed images.

The winner of Angels Among Us is scheduled to be revealed during the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2026, where she will also make her runway debut.

In addition to earning the title of the brand’s newest Angel, the winner will receive an exclusive contract with IMG Models.

For Martínez, that contract could potentially open doors to additional runway shows, editorial campaigns, and fashion partnerships. 

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, and his wife Bianca Censori are used to wearing things that don’t quite fit the vibe, and this week was no different. In the middle of an LA heat wave, the couple decided that a nearly 100-degree day was the perfect time to break out their winter wardrobes.

The couple stepped out together Sunday after a low-key movie date in Westwood, just one day after making a much more public appearance at ComplexCon. While the rest of Los Angeles was probably looking for the nearest air conditioner, Bianca was bundled up in a floor-length leather coat while Ye opted for a fur-trimmed jacket.

Censori went for an all-black look, wearing a shiny leather trench coat that fell all the way to the floor. The dramatic piece had structured shoulders, wide lapels, long sleeves, and a belted waist. Underneath, she wore a black hooded top with fitted black leggings.

She finished things off with dark brown knee-high stiletto boots and oversized amber-tinted rectangular sunglasses. The sunglasses may have been the most practical part of the outfit.

Ye went for his own version of heavy-duty outerwear, wearing a beige hooded bomber jacket complete with a fur-trimmed hood and ribbed cuffs and hem. He paired the jacket with off-white trousers and tan lace-up combat boots with thick soles.

They were just at ComplexCon one day prior

The outing came just one day after Ye and Censori were spotted together at ComplexCon in Los Angeles, where they were joined by Ye’s daughter, North West. 

The trio made a rare family appearance at the event, with North wearing an all-black look and bright blue braids.

Ye was also more than a spectator at ComplexCon. He later joined Playboi Carti during the rapper’s headlining set, performing three songs including “Can’t Tell Me Nothing,” “Carnival,” and “Off the Grid.” 

Bianca has embraced her role in Ye’s family

As we saw at ComplexCon, while Censori tends to make headlines for her outfits, she has also quietly become part of his children’s lives.

Over the years, the architect has been photographed spending time with Ye’s four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, including trips and family outings. 

In August, she was spotted taking Chicago and her cousin Dream Kardashian on a girls’ day at a Los Angeles mall without Ye or Kim Kardashian present.

She has also been out with North on several occasions. In July, Censori and the 13-year-old were photographed shopping together with Ye in Los Angeles, with TMZ describing the outing as the pair getting some “quality time” together.

Censori and North have previously been seen holding hands, chatting and smiling together at Ye’s events, while Ye himself has publicly praised Censori as a stepmother. In a birthday message for his wife, he called her “the most amazing stepmom to our children.”

Eilish showed off the transformation in a casual mirror selfie tucked into a photo dump, trading the long, dark hair fans have recently associated with her for a much warmer, brighter shade.

The amusing moment came amid a busy Paris itinerary. Vergara attended the Hermès show on October 3, where she joined fellow actress Emmy Rossum among the guests at the Garde Républicaine.

For her front-row appearance, she chose a fitted black leather dress with a plunging neckline, layering it beneath a long black coat. Platform sandals, dark sunglasses, and statement snake rings completed the look, while loose waves softened the sleek ensemble.

Her trip also included a Bvlgari dinner, where she wore a black evening gown covered in intricate gold motifs and finished the outfit with a sparkling necklace. The appearances showcased the glamorous dressing that has become a signature of her outings.

Hayden Panettiere’s ex-husband, Wladimir Klitschko, is asking for more answers about her missing belongings, with new claims that some of her jewelry may have ended up at a pawn shop.

The former professional boxer, who shares 11-year-old daughter Kaya with Panettiere, made the claim in new court documents as he continues his effort to be named guardian of Kaya’s estate.

According to the filing, acquired by TMZ, Klitschko believes “a non-family member previously connected to Hayden” sold some of her belongings to a pawn shop. He believes the items may include jewelry.

The pawn shop has allegedly refused to provide specific information about the items unless law enforcement gets involved, according to the documents.  Klitschko says he is concerned the belongings could be sold or transferred to someone else before they can be recovered.

He is now asking that his appointment as guardian include the authority to request and authorize a law enforcement investigation into the recovery of Panettiere’s property.

Wladimir Klitschko wants to protect Hayden Panettiere’s estate for their daughter

 The new request builds on Klitschko’s earlier petition concerning the assets Panettiere left behind for their daughter.

Klitschko previously filed paperwork seeking to be appointed temporary guardian of Kaya’s estate, arguing that their daughter is the sole heir to Panettiere’s estate.  It would give him the legal authority to protect the assets Kaya is expected to inherit.

Panettiere died without a will, according to the petition, meaning Kaya is set to inherit her mother’s estate, including her personal belongings and California property.

In that filing, he said federal agents had accessed Panettiere’s Los Angeles home as part of an ongoing investigation and removed property belonging to her estate. 

He said he wanted the authority to help recover those belongings once investigators no longer needed them.

Klitschko also claimed Panettiere had hired a security company before her death because of concerns that someone had gained unauthorized access to her home. 

After her death, he said the locks were changed, and storage units containing designer clothing and accessories were relocated as a precaution.

He further alleged that some of Panettiere’s jewelry and other personal belongings were missing or unaccounted for. He also claimed that emails belonging to the actress had been accessed and destroyed.

At the time, Klitschko did not identify the person he believed was behind the alleged unauthorized access or potential misappropriation of property.

What happens to Hayden Panettiere’s estate?

The dispute over Panettiere’s belongings ultimately comes back to their daughter. He has argued that recovering the actress’ property is directly connected to protecting Kaya’s inheritance. His latest request would give him additional authority to seek law enforcement assistance if items belonging to Panettiere’s estate are believed to have been misappropriated.

The court has not yet ruled on Klitschko’s guardianship request.

Panettiere died on August 16, 2026, at age 36. Her death was ruled accidental, with the Greenville County Coroner’s Office determining that she died from the toxic effects of multiple substances, including Fentanyl.

Klitschko and Panettiere welcomed Kaya in 2014 and were previously engaged before splitting in 2018. Following their separation, Klitschko became Kaya’s primary custodial parent.

Ben Affleck isn’t exactly making romance a priority these days.

The 54-year-old actor and filmmaker opened up about his current approach to dating while attending the Los Angeles premiere of his new thriller Animals on Thursday, Oct. 2.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Affleck said his attention is largely focused on his career and his three children, leaving little time to pursue a relationship.

Ben Affleck Is “Happy” Being Single

“I work a lot and I see my kids,” Affleck explained in a clip shared on Instagram.

The Oscar winner added that there isn’t much room in his schedule beyond his family and work.

“There’s not a lot of room” outside of those priorities, he said. “I’m not running around.”

Affleck also addressed a recent claim from The View co-host Ana Navarro, who said she had tried to play matchmaker and set him up with Shakira following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. Navarro previously acknowledged that she has never actually met Affleck.

The actor appeared surprised by the story.

“I hear s**t like that honestly first from people like you,” Affleck told the reporter. “I swear to God, I never heard that in my whole life.”

Affleck Addresses the Dating Rumors

Affleck said he’s become accustomed to hearing speculation about his personal life, particularly since becoming single.

“I often hear rumors,” he said, suggesting that gossip can sometimes turn into stories that aren’t based in reality. “Some people gossip. Stuff gets made up.”

He also said he doesn’t typically get set up on dates, despite the ongoing speculation surrounding his love life.

Affleck and Lopez finalized their divorce in January 2025 after two years of marriage. The pair had previously been engaged in the early 2000s before rekindling their relationship years later.

The actor was also previously married to Jennifer Garner from 2005 until their divorce was finalized in 2018. The former couple share three children: Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.

His Kids Come First

Affleck said he’s currently in a good place and has a clear understanding of what matters most to him.

“I’m good and I’m happy,” he said. “I know what my priorities are.”

For Affleck, that means putting his children first while continuing to pursue work he enjoys.

“You can’t have two things that are the most important in your life,” he explained. “For me that’s the kids.”

“And then I have my work, which I love,” he continued. “And, you know, I’m where I’m at and I’m great. Who knows what adventures life will bring? I’m open to it but I’m not trying to chase anything.”

Affleck’s Kids Aren’t Buying His Relationship Advice

Just last month, Affleck admitted that his children aren’t exactly convinced he’s qualified to give them romantic advice.

During a Sept. 24 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor recalled trying to share some of his own relationship experiences with his kids during family dinners.

“My kids are talking at dinner and they’re talking about their friends and the drama and the relationships and I have some lived experience, I think, that’s worth sharing, some lessons,” he told Jimmy Kimmel.

But his advice apparently doesn’t always land.

“I’ll say, ‘You know, well the thing about that relationship there…’ and the 17-year-old turns to me and goes, ‘Oh, like you’re the expert on relationships?’” Affleck recalled.

Affleck’s New Movie Animals

Affleck’s focus on work comes as he promotes Animals, the new thriller he directed and co-wrote with Connor O. McIntyre and Billy Ray.

The film stars Kerry Washington, Steven Yeun, and Gillian Anderson alongside Affleck.

Animals is currently playing in select theaters before arriving on Netflix Oct. 9.

Isaiah Washington is opening up about a loss he’s been keeping private for more than a year. On October 3, the Grey’s Anatomy alum revealed that his wife of 29 years, Jenisa Marie Garland-Washington, died in June 2025 after suffering a massive hemorrhagic stroke. 

The 63-year-old shared the news 16 months after Garland’s death, explaining that the decision to remain silent was largely rooted in the kind of person his wife was.

“Yes… the rumors are true,” the actor began in an Instagram post alongside a photo of Garland.  He went on to reveal that she suddenly collapsed on May 31, 2025, before dying nine days later on June 9. “It came as a huge shock to our entire family,” Washington wrote, explaining that Garland “succumbed to a massive hemorrhagic stroke and never recovered.”

He then offered advice, saying, “Listen, y’all…some headaches are not just headaches or migraines; they can be much worse and a warning sign. Get a brain scan if you can and take those headaches seriously.”

The couple had been married since Valentine’s Day in 1996 and shared three children: Tyme, Iman and Isaiah V. “She has been gone 16 months now, but she left 3 incredibly amazing children behind to continue her legacy,” he continued. 

Their relationship largely remained outside the Hollywood spotlight, with Garland known for keeping her personal life private even as Washington became a familiar face on television through his role as Dr. Preston Burke on Grey’s Anatomy.

Washington acknowledged that his decision to finally speak publicly about Garland was complicated by her wishes for privacy.

“I don’t know if this is an appropriate post, because Jenisa Washington was extremely private,” he wrote, adding, “I guess I just have to be reprimanded from her on the other side.”

The pair met in Los Angeles in 1995 after being introduced by comedian Reggie McFadden and married the following year. On Sunday, it just so happened to be revealed that McFadden passed away.

On Monday, Washington shared a carousel with the first photo being the In Living Color star, and the second being the same photo he shared of his late wife. “RIP Reggie McFadden,” he wrote in the caption. “Say hello to Jenisa Washington, because it was you who introduced me to her in 1995.”

While Washington became a recognizable television star, particularly during his time on Grey’s Anatomy, he and Garland managed to keep much of their family life away from the cameras.  She was always by his side on the red carpet, but she remained largely out of the entertainment spotlight.

For Washington, becoming a husband and father also influenced the way he approached his career. In a 2022 Fox News Digital interview, he explained that having a wife and children changed the trajectory of his professional life because he became more conscious of the example he wanted to set for his family. “For me, being married and having children did change a lot of my trajectory,” he said at the time.

The announcement also came as Washington appears to be entering a new chapter professionally. After stepping away from acting in recent years, he recently shared that he is ready to return to the big screen. Hours before he announced her passing, he shared a couple of selfies, revealing in the caption, “I have said ‘no’ for 3 years now. Time to say ‘yes’ and get back on the big screen with a BANG! Keep watching me…”
