Kim Kardashian turns 46! See the billionaire’s evolution throughout the years

Before Kim was famous, she was just a girl. Here she is posing in 1993 with her blended family, made up of her sisters and stepsiblings from Caitlyn Jenner’s prior relationship: Burton Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Brandon Jenner, Brody Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Robert Kardashian, Jr. and Cassandra Jenner.

Kim was getting in front of cameras and getting to know the spotlight with her family for years. Their late father, Robert, was a celebrity lawyer, defending OJ Simpson during his murder trial, and Caitlyn was an acclaimed Olympic gold medalist. 

Kim was friends with Paris Hilton and famously organized her closet. They were pictured together from 2003 to 2006, when Kim started to establish herself as a socialite.  

Everything changed in 2006 when a private video with Ray J was leaked to the public, causing widespread mayhem. That year, Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered on E!, turning them into reality TV fixtures. 

A major moment came in 2008, when Kim competed on Dancing With the Stars. However, her time on the dance floor was short-lived, as she was eliminated in 11th place just three weeks into the competition. She recently opened up about the experience during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, revealing that the pressure was harder to handle than viewers may have realized. “I would honestly cry in my trailer like every single night, praying to get kicked off. It was so hard for me,” she recalled.

Kim had her own wax figure at Madame Tussauds New York in Times Square in 2010 when her fame moved beyond reality TV. 

In 2011, Kim famously married Kris Humphries on television on August 20, 2011. Their divorce, 72 days later, will always be ready in pop culture history. 

As she married Kanye West in 2014, Kim was becoming a fashion force. After Kanye reportedly “fought” for her to get a spot at the Met Gala in 2013, per The Cut. She’s been a staple at the event since.

Her launch of KKW Beauty in 2017 was another step toward building Kim’s empire. It turned her signature looks into a business. 

Throughout this, Kim became a mother, first welcoming North West in 2013, Saint in 2015, Chicago in 2018, and Pslam in 2019. 

2021 would be a turning point for Kim after she announced her divorce from Ye in February.

In 2022, Kim’s relationship with Pete Davidson took over headlines after meeting and falling in love on Saturday Night Live. It was a dramatic, tattoo- and branding-filled romance before it ended in August 2022. 

In 2025, Kim’s art would imitate life when she played an attorney in “All Is Fair.” At this point, Kim was still on her journey to become a lawyer in real life. 

Now happy and in love with Lewis Hamilton, Kardashian has continued to make waves in multiple industries as she navigates life in the spotlight as a mother of 4, and one of the most famous women in the world.
