Webtoon Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation announced four new animated titles based on popular Webtoon webcomics that are in development as part of their strategic partnership.
The companies first announced their collaboration last fall, with an agreement to co-produce 10 fan-favorite Webtoon webcomics for global distribution spanning genres including romance, fantasy, action and comedy.
The four additional webcomics set to be adapted as animated titles are: “The Wolf & Red Riding Hood” by XUANN; “Vampire Family” by unfins; “Sable Curse” by Little Melon”; and “Snow and Briar (And The Mirror of Seven Sins)” by M. Nires. (Read the descriptions below.)
Those join the slate of previously announced Webtoon-Warner Bros. Animation projects: “Down to Earth” by Pookie Senpai; “The Stellar Swordmaster” by Hong Dae Ui, juno, and Q10; and “Hardcore Leveling Warrior” by Sehoon Kim.
Webtoon Entertainment CFO David J. Lee and Warner Bros. Animation president Sam Register shared the news Thursday during a panel at Web Summit Vancouver 2026.
The Webtoon-Warner Bros. Animation co-productions could be films or series; the formats for each one have yet to be revealed. No release dates have been set yet for the projects. The creators of the original Webtoon webcomics own the intellectual property and, under their agreements with the company, will receive a share of revenue generated from the animation projects.
Here are the descriptions of the four new titles in development:
- The Wolf & Red Riding Hood by XUANN: High school student Anna wakes up one day to find that she’s super hairy, incredibly strong, craves meat all the time… and then she grows ears and a tail. Can she figure out how to stop herself from becoming a werewolf before the full moon?
- Vampire Family by unfins: Natalia, a vampire desperate for a normal life, finally gets to go to school and sets her sights on befriending her seatmate, Evangelo. As she tries to navigate friendship in the human world, she discovers he’s not your typical student either.
- Sable Curse by Little Melon: Terron is cursed to die at 19 unless she can find a way to break the spell. Her chance may come when her family escapes society and stays at a magical estate, where she uncovers secrets among its wealthy guests that could hold the key to lifting her deadly curse.
- Snow and Briar (And The Mirror of Seven Sins) by M. Nires: Prince Snow, the fairest in the land, is married off to the towering Princess Briar by his scheming stepmother, who desperately wants him gone. Is Princess Briar just infatuated with him like everyone else, or does she have secrets of her own?
