Verve Signs ‘CHIPS’ Creator Maddie Brewer (EXCLUSIVE)

Maddie Brewer has signed with Verve for representation, Variety has learned exclusively. She continues to be repped by Fourth Wall Management.

Brewer is the creator, writer, and animator behind the Adult Swim series “CHIPS.” The show premiered in October 2025 and will be in competition at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June. The series is described as action-comedy that follows Chip, a Venice Beach girl with a penchant for extreme violence.

Brewer is also behind the short film “BurgerWorld,” which is set inside a sentient fast food empire. That film premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2025.

Brewer is currently a storyboard artist and writer on “Regular Show: The Lost Tapes,” a revival of the original “Regular Show.” “The Lost Tapes” just launched on Cartoon Network on May 11. She is also working on an original concept at a streaming, with details to be announced.

Brewer has directed animated shorts and music videos for clients including Adult Swim, Bento Box, and Epitaph Records, and has collaborated with studios and brands such as Vice, Nickelodeon, Augenblick, Blink Ink, Grin Machine, Psyop, and Chop Studio.

Brewer’s signing is the latest addition to Verve’s robust animation business. The agency currently has clients across major animation studios, including: Warner Bros. Animation, Walt Disney Animation Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures Animation, Nickelodeon Animation Studio, Illumination, Skydance Animation, Paramount Animation, and Laika. Verve clients have also been nominated for best animated feature at nine of the past 10 Academy Awards.
