Actor and host Terry Crews‘ next project will be for YouTube, with a series called Crews Control that will take a deep dive into the world of motorsports, with a heavy emphasis on the Cadillac Formula 1 team.
The 18-episode series will live on the Cadillac F1 team’s YouTube channel, and be produced by Box to Box Films, the production company behind Netflix’s Drive to Survive. Each episode will see Crews explore different points of interest for the F1 calendar, and take viewers behind-the-scenes at the team, which is in its first year on the grid.
Episodes will also explore other teams from the TWG Motorsports portfolio, including the Indianapolis 500 with Andretti Global and NASCAR with Spire Motorsports, with appearances by drivers, engineers, superfans and others with a love for racing.
The first episode, “Silverstone Shakedown,” is set to release on Tuesday, May 5, coming out of the Miami GP.
“TWG Motorsports was built on a singular belief that motorsport has unmatched power in sport and culture, and its best stories are still waiting to be told. Crews Control brings that to life – a can’t-miss journey anchored by the Cadillac Formula 1 Team and extending across many series we compete in, told through one of entertainment’s most compelling voices,” said Dan Towriss, CEO of TWG Motorsports in a statement.
“Motorsport is the biggest world most Americans have never stepped inside — and I’m about to change that,” added Crews. “This isn’t just one series, it’s an entire universe. Crews Control isn’t about lap times and standings. It’s about the culture, the obsession, and the people who live and breathe it. I’m bringing America into a world that’s faster, louder, and more alive than they ever imagined.”
