Sky Toasts BAFTA TV Nominees at Annual Unmissable Television Celebration

Ahead of the BAFTA TV Awards tomorrow night, celebrations were in full swing in London on Saturday afternoon as Sky hosted its annual Unmissable Television celebration for its BAFTA TV & Craft nominees.

This year, the broadcaster picked up 28 nominations across the BAFTA TV & Craft Awards. Guests at the party, which took place at talent favourite Broadwick Soho hotel, included Matt Smith, who is nominated for leading actor for his titular role in Sky’s acclaimed limited series “The Death of Bunny Munro.” Joining Smith was his co-star and fellow nominee, Rafael Mathé, who plays Bunny Jr. in the series and picked up a nod for supporting actor.

Other guests at the party included BAFTA-winner Danny Dyer and daughter Dani Dyer, as well as Narges Rashidi, star of Sky’s “Gangs of London” and nominated this year for her role as Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe in the BBC series “Prisoner 951.”

Also at the party was Nick Mohammed, star of “Ted Lasso” who is also set to feature in the upcoming Sky/HBO series “WAR”; Izuka Hoyle, Sam Troughton and Eddie Marsan who are currently featuring in the Matt-Charman penned series “Prisoner” for Sky; “Sweetpea”’s Taj Atwal, Leah Harvey and Jenny Walser plus “House of the Dragon”’s Phoebe Campbell.

Guests were served canapes including a surprisingly brilliant mango and mung bean tartare plus chicken teriyaki kebabs, all washed down with elegant Hugo Spritz and espresso martinis. Nominees were also gifted an embroidered napkin keepsake, which came in handy for the lobster and prawn brioche rolls that were served later.

Riding high of the success of the recent debut of “SNL U.K.,” Sky Group CEO Dana Strong and Chief Content Officer Cécile Frot-Coutaz also welcomed wider guests from the UK’s creative industries including photographer Misan Harriman, fashion designer Ozwald Boateng and BAFTA CEO Jane Millichip.
