CBS Media Ventures is hoping Jonathan Scott can rehab daytime talk TV.
Later this month, Scott, one of the Property Brothers (the other being his twin Drew), is taping a pilot episode of what is currently being called Better! With Jonathan Scott. We could probably do better(!) than that working title.
Better! aims to “inspire audiences with fresh Ideas to live better, all while having fun doing it,” the logline reads. There will be interview segments with “well-known guests” and “lifestyle experts,” it says. The daytime talk show will be in consideration for syndication beginning Fall 2027.
Daytime talk could use a shot in the arm with a nail gun. In February, producers announced that both the Kelly Clarkson Show and Sherri Shepherd’s show were ending.
In addition to HGTV’s Property Brothers franchise, Scott also co-hosts and executive produces the cable channel’s Celebrity IOU; the series air in more than 160 countries. Jonathan and Drew co-founded and co-lead Scott Brothers Global and Scott Brothers Entertainment, as well as home brands Scott Living and Drew & Jonathan Home.
Jonathan Scott says he has renovated more than 1,000 homes. In recent years, he has become an advocate for clean energy and healthy homes. He serves as a Habitat for Humanity Global Habitat Humanitarian, produced documentary Jonathan Scott’s Power Trip, testified before the U.S. Senate Climate Change Task Force, and advises The Climate Reality Project. In 2025, he led the acquisition of smart-home technology company Phyn and, with Drew, launched BrandJourney, a licensing platform for home and lifestyle brands. Might as well add “daytime talk show host” to all that.
CBS Media Ventures (CMV) is part of Paramount’s TV Media Group. It produces or distributes The Drew Barrymore Show, Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, Entertainment Tonight, Inside Edition, Hot Bench, Judge Judy and America’s Funniest Home Videos.
