Lourdes Leon is preparing for one of her biggest musical releases. Following a successful summer where she was featured on her first collaboration with her mother, Madonna, Leon is promoting her new single, “Tramp Stamp.” She paired a provocative title with the equally provocative photoshoot.
Leon has been teasing her new single over the past week, sharing photos where she’s seen wearing different outfits under the same colorful neon lights. One of the images shows her in a lacy bodysuit and high heels, while the other shows her in a grey shirt, pulling it over her chest to reveal some of her cleavage.
One of the photos shows Leon with her hair wet and curled. The other shows it straight. The photoshoot teases Leon’s hand tattoos, which read “Mom” over three of her fingers. In one of the post’s captions, she teased some of the lyrics of her song.
“I’d never shed the blood of a harmless creature
I’d rather sacrifice a limb of my own
I’d never curse a name so I could be above it
I don’t make moon water anymore….” reads some of her lyrics. Leon’s most recent post was shared today, revealing that her single was finally out, and that she was one of the writers.

Lourdes and Madonna’s evolving relationship
Over the past couple of years, Leon and her mom have worked hard to mend their relationship. The two just collaborated on the song “The Test,” featured on Madonna’s hit album “Confessions II.”
In interviews, Madonna has shared that the song was Leon’s idea, and she wanted to open up about her feelings as a teen and the daughter of one of the world’s biggest pop stars. “She approached me,” Madonna told BBC Radio this past June. “She’s been very reticent to work with me, she doesn’t want to be perceived as my daughter taking advantage of her privilege.”
Madonna then revealed that Leon struggled with the second-hand fame element that came with being her daughter. “She had been, through her adolescence, struggling with those feelings for a long time,” Madonna said. “She came to me, she said ‘Let’s write a song together, I think it will be a healing experience.’ And you say what you want to say, and I’ll say exactly what I want to say.”
