Horror Comedy ‘Best Friends Forever’ Expands Cast With ‘SNL’ Alum Aristotle Athari, ‘Game Changer’ Comedian Zac Oyama, ‘Dead Meat’ Hosts and More (EXCLUSIVE)

The upcoming horror comedy film “Best Friends Forever” has added some fresh blood to its cast.

The new names include Aristotle Athari (“Saturday Night Live”), Ally Maki (“Toy Story 4”), Zac Oyama (“Game Changer”), influencer Lynley Eilers and “Dead Meat” hosts James A. Janisse and Chelsea Rebecca.

These actors join a previously announced cast which includes Kimia Behpoornia (“Abbott Elementary”), Bobby Moynihan (“Saturday Night Live”), Eliza Bennett (“Dynasty”), Catherine Corcoran (“Terrifier”), Jessie Ennis (“Mythic Quest”), Aparna Nancherla (“The Great North”), Esther Povitsky (“Drugstone June”) and Rekha Shankar (“Game Changer”).

Per the film’s official logline, “The horror comedy follows the bachelorette party reunion of five high
school friends as they become exposed to toxic positivity-turned-supernatural and begin to turn against each other. The film explores the things we don’t say and all the things we don’t show, as women, to our friends.”

Amy Taylor and Liz Manashil wrote the “Best Friends Forever” script, which is directed by Manashil (“Bread and Butter”). Laura Reich and Pardis Sullins produced the film, which was line produced by Elena Weinberg and executive produced by Catherine Corcoran, Tiffany L. Gray, Katie Leary, Charlie and Will Pigott, and Debra Treviño. The film was associate produced by Ted Geoghegan (“We Are Still Here”), Emily Hagins (“My Sucky Teen Romance”), Carter Smith (“The Ruins”) and the Pierce Brothers (“The Wretched”). Cara Chute Rosenbaum was the casting director on the film.

The film was recently invited to take part in Tribeca’s Creator Market and its Works In Progress program, where 20 minutes of the film were screened.
