Ghetto Film School Partners with Mosh Audio to Bring Podcast Curriculum to Redesigned Fellowship (EXCLUSIVE)

Nonprofit Ghetto Film School has announced a partnership with multimedia storytelling company Mosh Audio to expand the school’s methods of storytelling. The collaboration follows GFS’ launch of a redesigned 20-month fellowship curriculum that focuses on filmmaking while expanding into new cross-platform media ecosystems.

Mosh Audio has designed a comprehensive podcast curriculum that will be incorporated into the summer program at GFS. The partnership will officially kick off with a four-session series for GFS Fellows, equipping them with critical skills in sound recording, listening, and community building.

“Through our partnership with Mosh Audio, our brilliant, high-school aged fellows get hands-on experience with podcasting as a means of not just telling stories, but also as a vehicle that complements and enhances their cinematic experiences, while increasing their proficiency with audio recording and sound mixing. We could not be more excited!” said Ché Chisholm, GFS Chief Executive Officer.

Sarah Hack, Co-Founder of Mosh, added, “It used to be that students trained for careers just in film, just in TV, or just in radio & podcasting, but creative professionals today are never working in such an atomized way. GFS is ahead of the curve, understanding that stories should be incubated across platforms. So the education has to match. Mosh is thrilled to be part of this evolution in GFS pedagogy and to collaborate with these extraordinarily talented students.”

GFS has locations in New York City, Los Angeles and London, and aims to prepare students for higher education and the creative industries through two tracks; an introductory education program for high school students and early career support for alumni and young professionals. GFS annually serves over 8,000 people from 14-35 years of age.

Founded in 2024 by Hack and Molly O’Keefe, Mosh is a multimedia, multi-platform company that specializes in bold and impactful stories.
