Adore and Wesley Wang Team Up for ‘Feel It All Again’ Video, a.k.a. ‘Violet and Marlowe Rob a Bank’

The anonymous New York City-based band Adore have teamed up with director Wesley Wang to release the official music video for their single “Feel It All Again,” out now on Big Beat Records / Warner Records. A unique collaboration, the three-minute animation is also known as “Violet and Marlowe Rob a Bank (soundtracked by Adore),” which premiered at Tribeca Festival last week.

The clip was part of an animated shorts collection at the festival curated by Whoopi Goldberg.

The announcement notes that “Violet and Marlowe” was “proudly made without the use of AI,” and is the first project to come out of Wang’s new studio, Wesley Wang Media, which the 22-year-old launched after his short film “Nothing Except Everything” went viral on YouTube, resulting in Sony buying the rights with Darren Aronofsky attached to produce a feature-length version.

In a collective statement, Adore said: “This collaboration started with a cold DM, and Wesley initially told us he wanted to do ‘something with bunnies and carrots.’ Then we saw his 2D animatic of the storyboard and realized he meant ‘Watership Down meets The Matrix. ‘We loved it. With this song, we were trying to capture the general sense of loss we feel in the world right now. Wesley picked up on the intensity of that emotion and matched it. This film is about right now. The consolidation of money and power. They’ve stolen all the carrots and we want them back.”

Wang added, “A friend showed me Adore’s music, and I fell in love with it immediately. But what really made me want to work with this band was our initial call after I reached out. We talked about how we each think about our respective crafts, and I was just so impressed by their passion for art and their willingness to creatively jam with a random director who reached out over Instagram. It was clear from the start that we shared similar sensibilities and long-term visions. With ‘Feel It All Again’ specifically, the melody, the meaty vocals, and the pulsating bass were so damn catchy that I immediately knew we had something special. I was almost in disbelief that something that good had just landed in my lap, so making this film from then on was a no-brainer.”

The musicians behind Adore have had their music placed “Euphoria,” “Gossip Girl” and “Insecure,” as well as campaigns for YSL, Estée Lauder, Coca-Cola, and more. They launched this project in 2023 with single “Dancing While the World Burns,” the of which video introduced NYC2, built atop the submerged ruins of the city.
