The first of every month brings a pile of licensed movies to Netflix, along with all the original content we’ve come to expect. I dug through the listings on the streaming service for the next seven days and found three things that you should save to watch. The second season of The Gentlemen promises more crime world shenanigans, a new Untold documentary delves into the 2024 Olympics’ weirdest moment, and more.

Graveyard: Season 3 (August 28)
There are so many shows on Netflix that pass by unnoticed, so I try to use this column to highlight ones you might have missed. Graveyard is a Turkish police procedural that focuses on cases of violence against women. Led by Inspector Ӧnem, the team (which works out of a basement) deals with honor killings, suicides, and exploitation. It takes the CSI-style cop drama and uses it to grapple with gender issues in really interesting and mature ways.
Untold: Raygun: Breaking Badly (September 1)
Netflix’s Untold series of documentaries takes stories that went viral and dives deep into the details, and September starts off with a real corker. The 2024 Olympics had plenty of memorable moments, but one of the most viral came for the wrong reasons, with Australian breakdancer Rachael “Raygun” Gunn delivering a perplexing performance that saw her lose each of her events 18-0. Afterward, the internet went wild with accusations of cheating, nepotism, and more. But she just wanted to dance!

The Gentlemen: Season 2 (Sept. 3)
Spinning off from Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film, The Gentlemen is a barrel of fun. When the Duke of Halstead dies, his son Eddie inherits his estate, only to discover that his father was running a massive weed-growing operation on the grounds. Now he has to adjust to a life of crime, deal with his berserk brother, handle the competition, and try to survive. It’s entertainingly twisted and packs a lot into each episode, making it a fun binge-watch. Season 2 sees Eddie set on expansion, despite obstacles in his way.
