If your Samsung foldable is due for an upgrade, the company is expected to unveil its latest Z Fold and Z Flip smartphones today alongside a refreshed wearable lineup.
Galaxy Unpacked is scheduled for 2 p.m. BST/ 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT from London, and PCMag is on the ground to bring you all the details about the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8, as well as the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2, if the rumors are true.
Samsung promises to “introduce its latest Galaxy innovations that build on its leadership in foldables, combining intelligent capabilities and new form factors to deliver more personal, adaptive experiences and set a new standard for the AI era.” To find out what that means, stream Unpacked on Samsung.com, from the Samsung Newsroom, and on Samsung’s YouTube channel (embedded above), and follow along in our live blog below.

5 Updates That Would Make Samsung’s Foldables Flawless
Samsung will have to step it up if it wants to maintain market leadership in the face of a rumored Apple foldable, and it may have a chance if it could just cross off a few items from my Unpacked wishlist.

Experience
I started out covering tech policy in DC for The National Journal, where my beat included state-level tech news and all the congressional hearings and FCC meetings I could handle. I later covered Wall Street trading tech before switching gears to consumer tech. I now lead PCMag’s news coverage.
Getting my start in DC means I still have a soft spot for tech policy; Congressional hearings can sometimes be as entertaining as a Bravo reality show, for better or worse. But PCMag is all about the technology we use every day, as well as keeping an eye out for the trends that will shape the industry in the years ahead (or flop on arrival). I’ve covered the rise of social media, the iOS vs. Android wars, the cord-cutting revolution that’s now left us with hefty streaming bills, and the effort to stuff artificial intelligence into every product you could imagine. This job has taken me to CES in Vegas (one too many times), IFA in Berlin, and MWC in Barcelona. I also drove a Tesla 1,000 miles out west as part of our Best Mobile Networks project. Of late, my focus is on our hard-working team of reporters at PCMag, guiding and editing their robust coverage.
