MS NOW confirmed on Thursday that Paula Reid has joined the network, nearly four months after her exit from CNN.
Reid will serve as the news outlet’s chief White House reporter, the latest addition to MS NOW’s journalistic ranks since its split from Comcast nearly a year ago. Her first day is Thursday.
Reid had been expected to join MS NOW following her departure from CNN in July after five years with the network, where she served as chief legal affairs correspondent. Before that, Reid was at CBS News, where she was on investigative and justice reporting teams before serving as White House correspondent.
Reid’s exit preceded Paramount Skydance’s closing of its acquisition of CNN-parent Warner Bros. Discovery. Since the deal close earlier this month, chief international anchor Christiane Amanpour and Bianna Golodryga have announced their departures.
MS NOW’s Washington bureau chief Sudeep Reddy wrote in a memo to employees, In this role, “Paula will bring her deep experience to covering the administration, serve as a key reporting voice across MS NOW’s Washington Bureau, and help drive our newsroom’s investigative and enterprise journalism.”
Reid will join a team that includes White House director Scott Foster, senior White House reporter Vaughn Hillyard and White House reporters Laura Barrón-López, Akayla Gardner and Jake Traylor.
