  • Grup Mediapro Companies Bet on Big Ideas, Local Voices and Cross Border Muscle

Spain’s independent production scene is leaning into a familiar playbook — strong creators, distinctive local stories and plenty of hustle — while looking for new ways to make those stories travel.

At the 6th Iberseries & Platino Industria confab in Madrid, executives from Imagina (Imagina becomes the new corporate name of Grup Mediapro from Jan. 1, 2027) companies Globomedia, 100 Balas, Big Bang Media, Cimarrón Cine and El Terrat laid out strategies that, despite their different slates, share a common thread: don’t chase scale for scale’s sake. Build projects around talent, stay nimble and find the right production model for each story.

Globomedia’s entertainment slate remains closely tied to comedy, a genre that director general Maria Jose Rodríguez said is embedded in the company’s DNA. The company has been behind influential Spanish TV titles including “Sé lo que hicisteis” and “Caiga quien caiga” — shows that, she argued, helped reshape the country’s television landscape.

“Comedy is the best tool we have to entertain, generate critical thinking and connect with one another,” Rodríguez said.

For 100 Balas, real-life stories and creator-driven fiction are at the heart of the strategy. Director General Alejandro Flórez described the company as “a production company with stories, with origins and with authors,” pointing to real cases, investigations and creators capable of building their own worlds.

The producer is behind scripted thriller “Death in Llanes,” based on the murder of Spanish politician Javier Ardines, and documentary series “Expediente Linares,” about the alleged paranormal phenomena surrounding Madrid’s Palacio de Linares. On the fiction side, titles including “Celeste,” “Su Majestad” and “Yakarta” reflect the company’s focus on projects with strong creative identities.

“At a time when the audiovisual offering is broader than ever, the real differentiator continues to be the stories and those capable of telling them in a unique way,” Flórez said. “It’s not about producing more content. It’s about producing content that leaves a mark.”

The company is also betting on the second season of “Celeste,” created by Diego San José and starring the ever-popular Carmen Machi, who was honored with the prestigious National Film Prize at San Sebastian Festival, as a tax inspector who delves again into tax evasions, money and powerful interests.

On international expansion, Flórez said: “We don’t make series thinking about traveling,” he said. “You shouldn’t be afraid of being local.” For Flórez, a distinctly Spanish voice can be precisely what gives a series international legs.

At Big Bang Media, meanwhile, live television remains a major part of the DNA. General manager Carmen González pointed to “Malas Lenguas,” which has evolved across RTVE’s La 2 and La 1, different time slots and different presenting teams.

“It’s a typical example in television,” González said of the show’s ability to move between channels and audiences while retaining its identity.

The producer is also pushing deeper into fiction. “Ser o no ser,” made for RTVE Play, ran for two seasons and targeted younger audiences, while “Pérdida” has expanded internationally via Atresplayer. Big Bang is now developing projects with bestselling author María Dueñas and “La Dama de la Cartuja,” a period drama based on Inma Aguilera’s novel.

“We’re looking for creators who have a lot to say, as well as literary titles that we believe can make an important leap to the screen,” González said.

Across the Atlantic-facing Spanish-language market, Cimarrón Cine is taking the borderless approach a step further. CEO-co-founder Santiago López likened the company to Uruguay’s cimarrón dogs, a breed shaped by generations of mixing and adaptation.

“Cimarrón is also a mixture,” López said. “We started as a mix of two countries and are now a mix of five countries, of very different formats and projects, but above all of very different people.”

That mix is increasingly feeding original development. López said that five years ago, roughly one in five projects was created in-house; today it is one in three, with the company aiming for one in two.

Its model is deliberately cross-border. Cimarrón has taken Spanish format “El Conquistador del Fin del Mundo” to Mexico and the U.S., shot it in the Dominican Republic and completed work in the Southern Cone. It has also adapted Argentine novel “Cometierra” across Mexico and Uruguay.

“There is no territory that thinks while the others simply execute,” López said. “We try not to make the stories smaller. We make the project possible so that the story can be possible.”

Creative director Andrés Gelós summed up the philosophy in more colorful terms: after spending decades as a “lone wolf,” he now sees Cimarrón as a creative “pack.”

Finally, El Terrat is using almost four decades of comedy and entertainment experience to make a bigger fiction play. General manager Agustín Esteve acknowledged that the company remains best known for entertainment but said its ambition is clear: “Our goal for some time now has been to also be recognized for fiction.”

Its latest feature, “5 minutos más,” produced with Ikiru for Movistar Plus, premiered at San Sebastián, where Javier Cámara won the Silver Shell for supporting actor. The Berto Romero-scripted film, directed by Javier Ruiz Caldera, mixes comedy, thriller and apocalyptic elements.

“We struggled for a long time to define what genre this film belongs to,” Esteve said. “But however you define it, it’s a film with a broad audience.”

El Terrat is also developing Season 2 of “Otro Mundo” for Movistar Plus+ and “Amadas” for 3Cat, while expanding its documentary work with “SerYo,” centered on actor Sergio Peris-Mencheta’s experience during cancer treatment, directed by Marta Solaz, Verónica Díaz Pérez and Peris-Mencheta and the Emmy International-nominated docu ‘Temps Mort,’ co-produced with 3Cat.

Across all five companies, the message was remarkably consistent: the market may be crowded, budgets may be tight and production increasingly complicated, but distinctive voices still matter.

For Esteve, the formula comes down to “talent, irreverence, risk, passion, honesty and play” — plus one decidedly unglamorous ingredient: “the desire to work, because without work none of this is possible.”

  • Ballet Star Tiler Peck to Make London West End Debut in Susan Stroman’s ‘Little Dancer’ (EXCLUSIVE)

New York City Ballet principal dancer Tiler Peck will make her West End debut in “Little Dancer,” the Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty musical about the girl who posed for Edgar Degas’ famous sculpture.

It opens at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket on Feb. 15, 2027. Susan Stroman directs and choreographs the limited run, which will close on March 27.

The musical follows Marie van Goethem, a poor 14-year-old who wanted to become a great dancer and ended up as the model for Degas’ iconic sculpture. It’s set in Belle Époque Paris. The show previously sold out runs in Washington, D.C., and Seattle, as well as a 2025 concert performance at London’s Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Julian Ovenden (“High Society,” “Downton Abbey”) will play Degas. Laura Pitt-Pulford (“Standing at the Sky’s Edge,” “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”) plays the adult Marie, and Josefina Gabrielle (“Chicago,” “Les Misérables”) plays Martine. All three have been Olivier nominees.

“Many people know of the ‘Little Dancer’ sculpture, but few know much about the girl, the muse, who inspired it,” Peck said. “This show is about two determined artists willing to do anything for their craft, and it reveals a whole new side to Degas’ masterpiece.”

Stroman has won five Tony Awards and two Oliviers, and her credits include “The Producers,” “Crazy for You,” “Contact” and “Oklahoma!” Ahrens, who writes the book and lyrics, and composer Flaherty are also Tony and Olivier winners. Their credits include “Ragtime,” “Anastasia” and “Once on This Island.”

“Just as Degas was inspired by Marie, Marie inspired me,” Stroman said. “She wanted to be a great dancer, and inadvertently, through art, became the most famous dancer in the world.”

Ovenden is going back to the Haymarket for the production. He said Ahrens and Flaherty had written “a deeply moving show about art, ambition and the lives of artists.” He added: “I also feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such extraordinary women at the very top of their game – Susan Stroman, Tiler Peck, Laura Pitt-Pulford and Josefina Gabrielle.”

Peck was recently named NYCB’s first Choreographic Associate, the first woman to hold a choreographic title in the company’s history. She won an Emmy for the PBS “Great Performances” documentary “Tiler Peck: Suspending Time.” She also received an Olivier nomination for “Turn It Out With Tiler Peck and Friends.” On screen, she choreographed for “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” and appeared in Netflix’s “Tiny Pretty Things” and Prime Video’s “Étoile.” She is currently scheduled to dance every performance through March 20.

The design team includes Tony winners Beowulf Boritt (sets), Ken Billington (lighting), William Ivey Long (costumes) and Kai Harada (sound). Orchestrations are by Doug Besterman and Larry Hochman. Sam Davis handles music supervision and dance arrangements, and Jill Green Casting handles casting.

Anita Waxman is lead producer, with Jana Shea, Patricia R. Klausner/Sharon A. Carr, Emily Blavatnik and Danny Cohen. Iwan Lewis is U.K. executive producer, and Short Street Productions is general manager.

“We’ve always had big ambitions for this beautiful show, and London is just the beginning,” Waxman said. “We can’t wait to take ‘Little Dancer’ to the world.”

  • Trump admin will cut student loan eligibility for some degrees. How will they choose?

Trump admin will cut student loan eligibility for some degrees. How will they choose?

    Claim:

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is cutting access to student loans for degrees that have low earning potential, including social work.

    Rating:

    True

    Context

The new rule, first announced in April 2026, was finalized in June 2026 and will take effect in 2027. The Department of Education will begin denying loans for degrees that fail its “earnings test” in both 2027 and 2028 in time for the 2028-29 academic year.

In September 2026. a rumor spread that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump was planning to cut access to student loans for candidates pursuing degrees in programs with low earning prospects, including social work and English literature.

Public interest in the claim was apparently sparked by news reports that came out several weeks earlier in the Los Angeles Times, The New Republic and other media outlets.

Social media posts on Facebook and X amplified the claim online. On X, for example, one account said the Department of Education was “cutting off student loans” for degrees that “don’t pay off,” listing a series of examples (archived):

    The list read:

    Programs failing:
    – Cosmetology
    – Massage therapy / bodywork
    – Culinary arts
    – Medical / dental assisting
    – Religious Studies
    – Social work / mental health counseling
    – Fine and studio arts
    – Music
    – Graphic design
    – English literature
    – Early childhood education

In addition, several Snopes readers emailed, seeking to confirm whether the claim is true. It is.

    The so-called ‘earnings accountability’ rule

In April, the Department of Education proposed a new rule tying the approval of student loans to the earning prospects of the students’ chosen disciplines.

On June 29, the department posted on its website a fact sheet detailing a new package of rules, including the one above. The document said (on Page 3) that the department would start calculating a new “earnings test” in 2027 for 2027 and 2028, and that resulting student loan denials would begin in 2028-29 for degrees that fail the earnings test twice.

The fact sheet said the rule was designed to hold “all institutions, regardless of tax status or credential level, accountable for providing graduates with a financial return on their investment.”

Calling it the “Student Tuition and Transparency System (STATS) and Earnings Accountability” rule, the fact sheet said it would create “a new accountability framework that applies a commonsense earnings test across all sectors, institutions, and programs.”

A spokesperson for the department told Snopes:

ED [the Department of Education], in coordination with the IRS [Internal Revenue Service], will run data for the first cohort of graduates in 2027. If a program fails to show at least a modest financial return on investment for its graduates in two out of three consecutive award years, it will lose eligibility to participate in the federal Direct Loan program.

Will some students be banned from taking out loans?

On Sept. 27, The New Republic posted on X to say, “Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans.”

In its Sept. 28 reply, the Department of Education sought to deny claims that it was “banning” certain degree programs, but confirmed it would start cutting access to student loans for those that result in low earnings for the borrower. The post said “Federal student loans are not a welfare program for failing college programs” (archived):

On Page 3, the fact sheet explained how the new eligibility rule would work to cut student loans for degrees with low-earning prospects:

Loss of Federal Direct Loan Program Eligibility

The final rule requires that programs that fail the earnings test in two out of three consecutive years lose eligibility to participate in the Direct Loan program. At that time, such programs are classified as “low-earning outcome programs”.

In other words, the Department of Education will run the earnings test in 2027 and 2028. Degrees that fail the test will result in student loan denials for their candidates.

The notice of proposed rulemaking on the website of the Federal Register, published on April 20, 2026, outlined some degrees that may be most affected by the new “accountability” rules (emphasis ours):

Mental and Social Health & Allied Professions master’s degree programs (CIP=51.15), Teacher Education and Professional Development associate’s degree programs (CIP=13.12), and Drama/Theater Arts bachelor’s degree programs (CIPs=50.05, 50.07, and 50.09) are anticipated to be most impacted by the proposed regulations. These programs are often between 10 and 20 times more likely to fail the accountability framework under the proposed regulation relative to the current regulations. These higher fail rates are driven by the fact that a large share of these programs are offered at public and non-profit institutions, which would no longer be exempt from the accountability framework under the proposed rule.

The final rule notice in the Federal Register provided an updated estimate of which degrees are likely to fail the earnings test and be denied student loans. Those include humanities and liberal arts, education, health-related degrees, but also culinary and personal services, social and behavioral sciences, and more. It’s unclear if all the specific professions listed in the X post at the top of this article would fall under the broad categories listed in the final rule.

The final rule also defined “earnings” to clarify which data the Department of Education would use from the IRS in its earning test calculations: “… wages, income as reported to the Internal Revenue Service, and other earned income, including from self-employment.”

For further reading, Snopes examined the claim that the Department of Education would stop counting certain programs, including nursing, as “professional degrees.”

  • White House misspelled United States in ‘super intelligence’ accord

White House misspelled United States in ‘super intelligence’ accord

    Claim:

The White House misspelled United States as “Unites States” in President Donald Trump’s accord on “super intelligence,” or “SI” — his new name for AI.

    Rating:

    True

A rumor that U.S. President Donald Trump’s White House misspelled United States as “Unites States” on its “super intelligence” accord circulated online in late September 2026.

Trump and a group of tech industry leaders signed the voluntary accord at the White House on Sept. 29, reportedly as part of an effort to address fears about the future of artificial intelligence. On the same day, Trump also signed an executive order renaming “artificial intelligence,” or “AI,” as “super intelligence,” or “SI.”

Users shared the “Unites States” claim on Bluesky (archived), Facebook (archived) and X (archived).

    (@paleofuture.bsky.social via Bluesky)

Snopes received reader mail and searches generally asking if the misspelling genuinely occurred. In an age of misinformation, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that someone might secretly change one or more characters in such a document and circulate the corrupted version to discredit its signatories.

That was not the case in this instance. An official White House X post sharing an image (archived) of the two-page accord confirmed that whoever prepared the document truly misspelled “United States” under Trump’s signature so it read, “President of the Unites States.”

The document didn’t feature any official letterhead or other graphical designation, but it did include a title attributing its ownership to the White House. That title read, “White House Accord on Super Intelligence.”

    (The White House via X)

The spelling error appears on the accord’s second page, which features Trump’s prominent signature, as well as those from Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, OpenAI President Greg Brockman, “XAI” CEO Elon Musk and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. Some of the men served as founders or cofounders of their respective companies, as well as work under more than one title.

    (The White House via X)

Snopes emailed the White House to ask if they wanted to share a statement responding to the users sharing the error and will update this article if we receive further details.

The document also appears to contain other errors. For example, the word “joint” near the top is misaligned, suggesting someone may have added it later. On the second page, Musk’s name and signature appear next to “XAI.” The company was previously named “xAI,” with a lowercase X, before SpaceX purchased it in February and renamed it SpaceXAI.

    (The White House via X)

    Trump’s ‘super intelligence’

Trump’s executive order explained his administration’s reasoning for attempting to rename artificial intelligence as “super intelligence,” or “SI” — specifically referencing the name change as guidance for the government’s executive branch:

The terminology used by the Federal Government should reflect the transformative capabilities of these technologies and the limitless opportunities they create for the American people. Accordingly, the term “Super Intelligence” more appropriately captures the promise, potential, and rapidly advancing capabilities of these technologies. It is therefore the policy of my Administration that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the executive branch shall use the terms “Super Intelligence” and “SI” in place of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI” and will not acknowledge the usage of “Artificial Intelligence” and “AI” in any applicable setting.

  • Did Trump’s AI tool say he lost the 2020 election, contradicting his claims that he won?

Did Trump’s AI tool say he lost the 2020 election, contradicting his claims that he won?

    Claim:

America.gov — an artificial intelligence chatbot the U.S. government launched in September 2026 — stated that U.S. President Donald Trump lost the 2020 presidential election, contradicting his longstanding claim that he won three elections.

    Rating:

    True

On Sept. 29, 2026, U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration launched America.gov, an artificial intelligence chatbot intended to answer questions related to the government. Shortly after, a rumor circulated online that the chatbot said former President Joe Biden won the 2020 presidential vote, contradicting a longstanding claim by Trump that Democrats “stole” the 2020 election.

Trump made the claim that he won the 2020 election as recently as Sept. 9, 2026, saying, “We won the presidency three times,” referring to the 2016 and 2024 elections that he won as well as the 2020 election that Biden won.

“Trump just launched an AI government website called America.gov, and it immediately told everyone he lost the 2020 election,” one popular Facebook post read (archived).

The claim was true — the America.gov chatbot said Biden won the 2020 election, not Trump. “Joseph R. Biden won the 2020 U.S. presidential election,” the chatbot stated.

When the rumor first spread on Sept. 29, screenshots showed similar responses by the chatbot. When we first attempted to verify the claim on Sept. 30, the chatbot deflected, claiming that it “did not provide political commentary.”

After several attempts using varied wording, the chatbot then explicitly confirmed Trump was incorrect, as follows (our question in bold):

Based on certified election records, was Donald Trump incorrect in saying that he won the 2020 election?

    *:last-child]:mb-0 [&>*:last-child]:after:inline [&>*:last-child]:after:align-baseline [&>*:last-child]:after:content-[var(–streamdown-caret)] response-root type-body-m text-text-primary [text-wrap:stable] **:[text-wrap:stable] [&>*:first-child]:mt-0″ readability=”34″>

Yes. Certified records show Joseph R. Biden won the 2020 presidential election, 306–232 in the Electoral College. Donald Trump’s statement that he won that election does not match those records.

It then linked to the National Archives and Federal Election Commission results as evidence of Biden’s victory.

This image shows the exchange in which America.gov's chatbot confirmed former President Joe Biden won the 2020 election, and that Trump was incorrect in claiming he won the 2020 election.

    (America.gov)

Trump announced the chatbot’s launch in an event alongside AI tech leaders including Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, OpenAI President Greg Brockman, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla.

The Associated Press reported that the site was modifying its answers “as Trump was speaking” at the Sept. 29 launch event, changing its response to say it couldn’t answer “political questions.” According to the AP, it also said that “official federal sources do not show that widespread fraud changed the 2020 presidential election outcome. Isolated election crimes did occur and have been prosecuted.”

Snopes did not received the same response when we asked the same question later. As of this writing, it’s unclear what the Trump administration’s process is for modifying results related to specific topics of inquiry.

We reached out to the White House seeking further information and will update this story if we receive a response.

  • Do videos show singer George Paul on ‘America’s Got Talent’?

Do videos show singer George Paul on ‘America’s Got Talent’?

    Claim:

Numerous videos authentically show a singer named George Paul performing on the NBC competition TV show “America’s Got Talent.”

    Rating:

    Fake

Throughout 2026, Snopes readers searched our website to find out whether numerous videos truly show a singer named George Paul performing music, including Christian songs, on NBC’s competition TV show “America’s Got Talent.”

Searches of DuckDuckGo and Google uncovered hundreds of videos attributed to Paul on social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok and YouTube, with his clips amassing hundreds of millions of views. Most posts supposedly feature appearances on “America’s Got Talent,” while others purportedly show him on “The Voice” or elsewhere.

In one of the channel’s most popular videos, from Sept. 15, Paul appears to sing a song called “Jesus Is Coming” on “America’s Got Talent.” Others have since reposted the clip on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

Reader searches asked if Paul truly appeared on “America’s Got Talent” or if the videos used artificial intelligence tools.

In sum, numerous pieces of evidence reveal the videos are fake. The clips feature green screen effects, inauthentic-sounding audio and possible AI usage. Searches of DuckDuckGo, Google and the YouTube channels for “America’s Got Talent” and “The Voice” found no evidence of Paul ever appearing on the two shows.

Snopes contacted Paul via private messages on Facebook and Instagram to ask questions about his videos. We will update this article if we receive further information.

Paul’s videos contain signs of fakery

A close inspection of Paul’s “Jesus Is Coming” video found lighting and image quality disparities between the subject and the background — differences quite evident in Paul’s past TikTok videos from as far back as 2022. Such disparities are not visible in authentic clips from “America’s Got Talent,” some of which are included below.

Those quality disparities between the subject and the background indicate Paul used a green screen effect to superimpose his image, whether shot with a camera or generated with AI, into a moment from one of the TV shows that originally featured other performers. Additionally, green visual artifacts appear to very faintly show up around Paul’s neck and on his cheeks during close-up shots.

The “Jesus Is Coming” video features a handful of moments showing “America’s Got Talent” judges, the crowd and others. For example, the clip begins with a shot of judge Simon Cowell holding his red-tinted sunglasses against his forehead and slightly opening his mouth. A reverse image search found that exact same moment originally appears during “America’s Got Talent” auditions earlier in 2026 prior to a performance by musical duo Nyjah Music & Zyah Rhythm, as seen at the 8:18 mark in a video on the show’s official YouTube channel.

In Paul’s video, he also uses a shot of model and past “America’s Got Talent” host Tyra Banks and another man watching from stage left at the 2:01 mark. This moment originates from another authentic “America’s Got Talent” clip from 2018. Actor Sofía Vergara also appears in Paul’s video, despite Vergara and Banks never being part of the show at the same time.

In other examples of Paul’s fakery, one video features him using a woman’s vocals on “The Voice,” apparently achieved either with AI-generated content or by using a real woman’s performance. Another clip shows three different depictions of Paul wearing the same clothes, standing next to each other on a stage. One post even shows Paul supposedly entering the stage from nowhere.

Paul’s Facebook page identifies him as residing in both Toronto and Kenya, as well as attending a Kenyan university. Selecting “Digital creator” at the top of his profile, then “Transparency and privacy policy,” shows information for the East African country. His YouTube handle, @Georgepaulke, also appears to reference Kenya in the last two letters.

Possible origins of ‘Jesus Is Coming’ song

Using Paul’s video, the music-recognition app Shazam found an apparent match for “Jesus Is Coming” in a Sept. 24, 2026, release from a creator named Abraham H.

Abraham H. said via email that he teases his tracks online before releasing them, adding that some people have generated duplicates of “Jesus Is Coming” with AI prior to his full release. He claimed he authentically sang on his own track and that he sometimes uses AI “when it comes to developing background,” referencing choirs. He also said he has used AI music generators to enhance his voice in other tracks.

It was not possible to independently verify that the song originated from Abraham H.

For further reading, Snopes previously looked into whether a video truly shows U.S. President Donald Trump singing a song, titled “This Is Who Jesus Is to Me,” while playing a piano on the North Lawn of the White House.

Use of a false account will disqualify an entry. Sponsor is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties, and other technological problems.

Entries are subject to any applicable restrictions or eligibility requirements listed herein. Entries will be deemed to have been made by the authorized account holder of the email or telephone phone number submitted at the time of entry and qualification. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address. Should multiple users of the same e-mail account or mobile phone number, as applicable, enter the Sweepstakes and a dispute thereafter arises regarding the identity of the entrant, the Authorized Account Holder of said e-mail account or mobile phone account at the time of entry will be considered the entrant. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address or mobile phone number by an Internet access provider, online service provider, telephone service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigned e-mail addresses, phone numbers or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by the website administrator for online entries. When applicable, the website administrator’s computer will be deemed the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes promotion. Entries that are late, lost, stolen, mutilated, tampered with, illegible, incomplete, mechanically reproduced, inaccurate, postage-due, forged, irregular in any way or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules will be disqualified. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: Sponsor shall select the prize winner(s) (collectively, the “Winner”) on or about Oct. 30, 2026, (“Selection Date”) by random drawing or from among all eligible entries. The Winner will be notified via email to the contact information provided in the entry. Notification of the Winner shall be deemed to have occurred immediately upon sending of the notification by Sponsor. Selected winner(s) will be required to respond (as directed) to the notification within seven (7) days of attempted notification. The only entries that will be considered eligible entries are entries received by Sponsor within the Sweepstakes Period. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to choose an alternative winner in the event that a possible winner has been disqualified or is deemed ineligible for any reason.

PRIZE: One (1) winner will receive the following prize (collectively, the “Prize”):

One (1) $250 Amazon.com gift code via email, valued at approximately two hundred fifty dollars ($250).

No more than the stated number of prize(s) will be awarded, and all prize(s) listed above will be awarded. Actual retail value of the Prize may vary due to market conditions. The difference in value of the Prize as stated above and value at time of notification of the Winner, if any, will not be awarded. No cash or prize substitution is permitted, except at the discretion of Sponsor. The Prize is non-transferable. If the Prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of Sponsor, a substitute Prize of equal or greater retail value will be awarded; provided, however, that if a Prize is awarded but remains unclaimed or is forfeited by the Winner, the Prize may not be re-awarded, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event that more than the stated number of prize(s) becomes available for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the stated number of prize(s) by a random drawing among all legitimate, un-awarded, eligible prize claims.

ACCEPTANCE AND DELIVERY OF THE PRIZE: The Winner will be required to verify his or her address and may be required to execute the following document(s) before a notary public and return them within seven (7) days (or a shorter time if required by exigencies) of receipt of such documents: an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and (where imposing such condition is legal) a publicity release covering eligibility, liability, advertising, publicity and media appearance issues (collectively, the “Prize Claim Documents”). If an entrant is unable to verify the information submitted with their entry, the entrant will automatically be disqualified and their prize, if any, will be forfeited. The Prize will not be awarded until all such properly executed and notarized Prize Claim Documents are returned to Sponsor. Prize(s) won by an eligible entrant who is a minor in his or her state of residence will be awarded to minor’s parent or legal guardian, who must sign and return all required Prize Claim Documents. In the event the Prize Claim Documents are not returned within the specified period, an alternate Winner may be selected by Sponsor for such Prize. The Prize will be shipped to the Winner within 7 days of Sponsor’s receipt of a signed Affidavit and Release from the Winner. The Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees related to the Prize received, if any.

Hayden Panettiere’s ex alleges missing jewelry and accessed emails as he seeks to protect Kaya’s inheritance

As the days go by following Hayden Panettiere’s tragic passing, things keep getting messier. On Monday, it was revealed that her ex, Wladimir Klitschko, is taking legal action to protect their 11-year-old daughter, Kaya, and the inheritance she is expected to receive from her late mother.

Klitschko, Panettiere’s former fiancé and Kaya’s father, filed paperwork in Los Angeles on Sept. 24 asking to be appointed the temporary guardian of Kaya’s estate, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

The request does not concern custody of Kaya; Panettiere had already given him full custody before she passed. He’s basically asking for authority to act on his daughter’s behalf while Panettiere’s estate goes through probate.

According to the filing, Kaya is the sole heir to Panettiere’s estate and “is entitled to the entirety” of the assets subject to the probate process. Klitschko says the appointment is “urgent and essential” so he can protect Kaya’s interests and help secure the assets she is set to inherit.

Klitschko’s petition centers on concerns about what could happen to Panettiere’s property while there is no personal representative overseeing her estate.

The former boxer says federal agents accessed Panettiere’s Los Angeles home as part of the ongoing investigation into her death and removed property belonging to her estate.

Klitschko wants to have the authority to seek the return of those belongings once investigators no longer need them.

He also says he and Panettiere had previously hired a security service because of concerns that someone had gained unauthorized access to her home.

According to the court documents, the locks were changed after Panettiere’s death, while some storage units containing clothing and accessories she wore for public appearances were moved as a precaution.

Klitschko further alleges that some jewelry and other personal belongings are missing or unaccounted for, while certain items remain with law enforcement.

He also claims that non-family members accessed and destroyed some of Panettiere’s emails.

Without naming the individual he is concerned about, Klitschko wrote that he believes the person could continue attempting to take property from Panettiere’s estate.

Because Kaya is a minor and lives outside California, Klitschko is asking the court to give him the legal authority to act on her behalf during the probate process.

According to the petition, Panettiere died without a will, making Kaya the sole heir to her estate.

That includes Panettiere’s personal belongings as well as her Los Angeles property, according to TMZ.

Klitschko’s filing comes shortly after a separate dispute involving Panettiere’s parents and jewelry their daughter was wearing around the time of her death.

Her parents, Lesley Vogel and Skip Panettiere, reportedly disagreed over where the earrings should be sent after they were placed in a locker for safekeeping, according to a Greenville County coroner’s report obtained by Page Six.

One parent wanted the earrings sent to North Carolina, while the other wanted them delivered to an address in California.

The disagreement is now part of the broader questions surrounding Panettiere’s estate and what will happen to her belongings.

The legal battle over Panettiere’s estate comes just months after the actress spoke publicly about her relationship with her daughter and pushed back against the idea that she had abandoned her.

Panettiere and Klitschko welcomed Kaya in December 2014. The couple eventually ended their relationship, and in 2018, Panettiere gave Klitschko full custody while she sought treatment for postpartum depression and addiction. Kaya went on to live primarily with her father in Europe.

Panettiere addressed the decision during a May 2026 appearance on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, saying the idea that she had simply “given away” her daughter was painful.

“I mean, the idea that anybody would think that I would just give away my child and be OK with it is heartbreaking,” she said. “Couldn’t be further from the truth.”

She explained that by the time she was healthy enough to consider bringing Kaya back to live with her, she felt it would have been unfair to disrupt the life her daughter had built.

“By the time I finally got healthy, I felt like it would have been unfair of me and selfish of me to try to pull her out away from this life that she had created,” Panettiere said. “She was living an incredible life. She’s an incredible little girl.”

Christina Aguilera continues her European vacation and pops bottles and dances on a boat

Christina Aguilera is living her best life in Italy. Summer might be over, but the “Drive Me Crazy” singer is still soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the ocean. On Tuesday, the pop icon shared a gallery of photos and videos from a recent yacht trip in Portofino, where she popped bottles, danced on the boat, and enjoyed time with her fiancé Matthew Rutler and a couple of friends.

The first slide was Aguilera dancing to Slayyyter’s “DANCE…” on the stern of the boat in an all-white fit. She showed off her incredible moves while whipping her blonde ponytail around.

She finished the video with a hilarious video of her legs up and wide open as the boat’s wake created a NSFW illusion.

Aguilara’s been posting from Europe since September 21, when she was in Monaco. She took the stage at the 20th Anniversary Gala of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation on September 18, 2026, and spent a few days there before heading to Italy.

She’s been sharing updates from her trip, and one thing has been constant in the comments – fans begging her to drop another album. “Drop a new album with this vibes,” someone wrote on her recent post. “WHERE’S THE MUSIC?????” and “release new songs! We don’t need an entire album, just some songs,” are among some of the comments on her posts.

Others have defended her, saying she’s living her best life. “Guys, stop asking her for an album! y’all gonna stop streaming after 2 weeks as you did with Liberation, and she does not need the stress,” someone wrote. “She’s given us enough; I love seeing she’s happy and enjoying her life.”

On another post, someone wrote, “Would I love a new album? Yes! But I cannot blame her for living her best life! She has worked hard enough! Enjoy yourself, mom, and come back when it feels right for you.”

But Aguilera has already confirmed music is on its way. While speaking to the Mirror in August, she explained she’s juggling motherhood and her career. “It’s all brewing between motherhood and everything,” she said. “When I’m in album mode and when I want to record, I literally can’t have other distractions”

“I have some incredible ideas that are coming to life, and a documentary that’s been in the works coincided with the album. I’m very excited,” she added.

The last time she released music was  “My Favorite Things” and “Someday at Christmas” in 2025 for her project Christmas in Paris. Prior to that was her 2023 single “Learning to Fly,” and her last album was Aguilera in 2022.

  • John Galliano Reworks Zara’s Archive Through a Couture Lens for His First Collection

John Galliano Reworks Zara’s Archive Through a Couture Lens for His First Collection

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, The Hollywood Reporter may receive an affiliate commission.

John Galliano is bringing his particular brand of couture alchemy to Zara, without the couture price tag. The British designer’s first Re{form} Zara collection arrives Oct. 1 at 1 a.m. PT/4 a.m. ET (10 a.m. CEST) with prices starting at $29.90.

This kicks off a two-year partnership that puts an unusual premise at the center of the designer collaboration: Galliano isn’t simply designing a new collection for Zara. He’s taking garments from the retailer’s past seasons and pulling them apart, shifting their proportions and rebuilding them through his own design vocabulary.

Given John Galliano’s name recognition, the collection’s relatively accessible price point and the anticipation surrounding his return to a major global retailer, expect some of the most sought-after pieces to move quickly.

In Galliano’s hands, that means even the most ordinary Zara pieces are fair game. A lace-trimmed slip dress moves upward on the body until it becomes an extravagant jabot at the neck. A cotton shirt, sized up several times over, becomes a jacket with a trompe l’oeil leather print. On a wool-blend coat, pockets migrate backward, lapels grow and the hemline stretches into tails.

The transformations are dramatic, but the techniques behind them are familiar Galliano territory. Bias cutting, transparent layers of tulle, technical tailoring and historical dress references run throughout Re{form}, alongside cropped tailcoats, clinging dresses and elongated bicorne hats. Several silhouettes look back to Les Incroyables, the dandies of post-revolutionary France who also inspired Galliano’s 1984 Central Saint Martins graduation collection, which helped launch his career.

    Courtesy of Zara

For a more recent reference point, look no further than Maison Margiela.

Galliano’s spring 2024 Artisanal couture show for the house became one of the defining fashion moments of that year. Staged beneath Paris’ Pont Alexandre III, the theatrical collection sent models down the runway in extreme corsetry, sheer dresses and dramatically manipulated silhouettes. Pat McGrath’s porcelain-like “glass doll” makeup became nearly as talked-about as the clothes, inspiring a wave of social media recreations and tutorials.

Re{form} is obviously operating on a very different scale, but the fascination with transforming the familiar remains. This time, instead of couture ateliers starting from scratch, Galliano’s raw material includes the kind of Zara shirt or slip dress that might already be hanging in someone’s closet.

The timing also gives Re{form} an added layer of significance. In August, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Galliano announced that John Galliano: Horizons, a Costume Institute exhibition planned for spring 2027, would no longer move forward. Just weeks later, his next major fashion chapter is unfolding somewhere very different: Zara.

Against that backdrop, Zara represents a considerably more mainstream platform for Galliano’s work. The partnership is expected to span seasonal collections over two years, with the retailer describing the project as an exercise in deconstructing and reconfiguring clothes from its previous seasons into new designs.

And while a Galliano-designed Dior couture piece sold for 663,000 euros earlier this year, entry into Re{form} requires considerably less commitment.

How to Shop the John Galliano Zara Collection 2026

The collection starts at $29.90 and launches Oct. 1 on Zara.com and at select Zara stores. Shoppers eyeing a particular piece may not want to linger: With Galliano’s first Zara drop arriving after months of anticipation, the standout styles are expected to go fast.
