Carson Daly To Expand Role At NBC As Co-Host Of ‘Saturday Today’

Carson Daly will expand his role at NBC’s Today by adding Saturday co-hosting duties alongside Laura Jarrett.

Daly will continue to co-host Today on weekdays while rising very early on one more day of the week for Saturday Today. He also will continue to host The Voice, and serve as the show’s executive producer. He also is EP of The Voice: Celebrity.

Peter Alexander was the previous co-host of Saturday Today, but he departed the network earlier this year for MS NOW.

Jarrett and Daly are joined on the show by feature anchor Joe Fryer and meteorologist Angie Lassman. Matt Carluccio is executive producer of the weekend editions of Today.

Daly joined Today in 2013 as host of the show’s social media and digital hub, Orange Room, and covers the latest pop culture news in the Pop Start segment. He previously hosted Last Call with Carson Daly, the late-night series that ran from 2002 to 2019. He co-created and hosted MTV’s Total Request Live, and served as the show’s executive producer.
