LOS ANGELES—On Wednesday, Oct. 28, Apple is holding a special event in Los Angeles that it has dubbed “Pro and Tell.” However, much of the “tell” has already been told: The company has been busy since the start of the week teasing out a host of new core Apple hardware. So far, Cupertino has detailed new M6 models for the iMac all-in-one desktop and the 14-inch MacBook Pro, as well as an OLED-screen version of the iPad mini. We’ve got all those announcements detailed below, but the big reveal, according to early rumors, promises to be the first touch-screen MacBook, likely paired with an OLED screen. Based on the “Pro and Tell” hint, we’d expect that to be a MacBook Pro.
PCMag will be on the ground at the venue on Wednesday morning. The event starts at 10 a.m. (PT) / 1 p.m. (ET), and we will be covering it from our live blog here. Keep us on a browser tab for the latest from the event, as well as for our hands-on impressions of the new devices as soon as we can get our mitts on them.
At its LA event today, Apple announced 14-inch and 16-inch touch-screen MacBook Pros (finally!), and earlier this week, teased a handful of new products, including an M6 version of the Apple iMac desktop, and an OLED iPad mini. Here’s how to preorder everything now. READ MORE

The touch screen feels just like an iPhone or iPad screen, and it looks surprisingly bright for an OLED. The Dynamic Island has a clever use case on this laptop: It can summon the macOS search bar with a tap.
Prices start at $2,899 for the 14-inch and $3,499 for the 16-inch. The 16-inch weighs just 4 pounds, compared with the 14-incher’s 3 pounds.
