Jordan Firstman is bringing “Club Kid” to the club.
A24 is set to hold free screenings of Firstman’s feature film directorial debut “Club Kid” for nightlife communities in 12 U.S. cities, including Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington D.C.
The activation is in partnership with Resident Advisor, a global online platform about electronic music, DJs and club scenes.
The screenings will take place the week of Oct. 24 at 7 p.m., leaving plenty of time for the kids to get to their clubs that night.

“Club Kid” stars Firstman, who also wrote the screenplay, as a New York City nightlife promoter whose world is turned upside down when he discovers he’s the father of a 10-year-old boy (Reggie Absolom). The cast also includes Diego Calva, Cara Delevingne, Paris Petitjen, Coleen Camp, Kirby-Howell Baptiste, Vicki Pepperdine, Nigil Whyte, Eldar Isgandarov, Saturn Risin9, Miss Benny and Alaska Riley.
After earning a six-minute standing ovation at its Cannes Film Festival premiere in May, “Club Kid” was bought by A24 for $17 million after a heated bidding war with Mubi, Focus Features, Searchlight, A24 and Netflix. Warner Bros.’s new indie label Clockwork and Neon were also early suitors.
“It’s really been the best week of my life,” Firstman told Variety’s Matt Donnelly shortly after the A24 deal was signed. “It’s been beautiful seeing my mom here, my non-binary sibling who lives a very different kind of queer lifestyle. Watching people fall in love with Diego Calva. I saw a few posts [about me] saying, “Oh God, this is going to make him such a monster.” But I feel the opposite of that. I don’t want to gloat. I’m just so grateful.”
“Club Kid” opens in limited release on Nov. 6.
