‘Cheetah Girls 4’: Raven-Symoné Confirms Her Return in ‘Next Gen’ Reboot

A new “Cheetah Girls” movie is in the works.

Franchise star Raven-Symoné announced the news on her official Instagram on Wednesday, teasing that she was already on set for what has been dubbed “The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen.”

Symoné starred in the original “Cheetah Girls” film alongside Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan. Lynn Whitfield, Juan Chioran, and Lori Alter also starred. In the first film, the four girls form the titular singing and dancing group, signing with a record label and pursue their dreams of pop superstardom.

“The Cheetah Girls” movies are based on the book series by Deborah Gregory. The first film was released as a Disney Channel Original Movie in 2003 to great success, spawning two more films (“The Cheetah Girls 2” and “The Cheetah Girls: One World”) and a hit soundtrack, while the main cast went on to tour and record as The Cheetah Girls until 2008.

More to come…
