Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s ‘Ramayana’ Tops IMDb’s Most Anticipated Indian Movies List for Second Half of 2026 (EXCLUSIVE)

The most-watched Indian film on IMDb heading into the year’s second half is Nitesh Tiwari’s epic adaptation “Ramayana Part 1,” which claimed the top position on the platform’s Most Anticipated Indian Movies list for July through December.

The 20-title ranking was compiled from page views logged by IMDb’s more than 250 million monthly visitors between Jan. 1 and June 28, covering Indian films with confirmed theatrical or streaming releases in the second half of the year. Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Ram in “Ramayana Part 1,” and co-star Yash, who portrays Ravana, headline the No. 1 title – with Yash extending his presence to No. 3 as well via “Toxic.” The list spans five languages: 12 Hindi titles, four Tamil, two Malayalam, one Telugu and one Kannada.

Anil Kapoor follows a similar pattern, featuring in the No. 2-ranked “Alpha,” which is headlined by Alia Bhatt, and the No. 4 entry “King,” starring Shah Rukh Khan. Ajay Devgn anchors the comedy sequel “Dhamaal 4” (#5) and the crime thriller continuation “Drishyam 3” (#6), while Sunny Deol appears in “Ramayana Part 1” and at No. 12 with “Ikka.”

“Mirzapur: The Movie” (#8) expands the Prime Video crime franchise to the big screen. “Ikka” (#12) is the sole direct-to-streaming title in the ranking.

The complete list also includes “Vishwanath & Sons” (#7, Tamil), “Haiwaan” (#9, Hindi), “Eetha” (#10, Hindi), “Awarapan 2” (#11, Hindi), “Arasan” (#13, Tamil), “Khalifa” (#14, Malayalam), “I’m Game” (#15, Malayalam), “Ranabaali” (#16, Telugu), “Shakti Shalini” (#17, Hindi), “Idhayam Murali” (#18, Tamil), “Sigma” (#19, Tamil) and “Vvan – Force of the Forrest” (#20, Hindi).
