Sanjay Kapoor, Shaheer and Mouni Roy headline “Ab Hoga Hisaab,” a revenge drama series produced by Arré Studio that will stream free exclusively on India’s Amazon MX Player from June 18.
The show also marks the streaming debut of actor Avinash Mishra.
Set in Punjab, the series centres on two brothers – Bobby and Bunty Manocha, played by Shaheer and Mishra respectively – whose lives are upended after Bunty vanishes following an encounter with a powerful figure named Goldy, portrayed by Kapoor. As disappearances multiply and accusations mount, Bobby is drawn into an increasingly dangerous search for his brother and the truth behind the cases.
The ensemble cast also includes Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Harman Singha and Aasheema Vardaan.
A trailer has been unveiled.
“‘Ab Hoga Hisaab’ is a gripping story of brotherhood, revenge, and the complex emotions that lie in between,” said Amogh Dusad, director and head of content at Amazon MX Player. “At Amazon MX Player, we strive to tell stories that are deeply rooted in India while resonating with audiences across the country for free.”
Kapoor, who appeared in the platform’s socio-political thriller “Sankalp” earlier this year, added: “What drew me to ‘Ab Hoga Hisaab’ was the intensity of its characters and the complexity of its world. The story is layered, unpredictable, and full of twists and turns.”
“One of the things that instantly drew me to Bobby was his unwavering sense of loyalty towards the people he loves, especially his brother,” Shaheer said.
“As my OTT [streaming] debut and first project with Amazon MX Player, this series is especially meaningful to me,” Mishra said.
“‘Ab Hoga Hisaab’ is an emotionally driven drama that explores relationships, loyalty, and the choices that shape lives,” added Namit Sharma, CEO of Arré Studio.
The series will be available across mobile devices, connected TVs, the Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, JioTV and Airtel Xstream.
