Psychological Drama ‘Crowbar’ Sets Cast: Patrick Walker, John Pyper-Ferguson and Emma Kenney Lead Jordan Tortorello’s Film (EXCLUSIVE)

The upcoming psychological drama “Crowbar” has set its cast.

Patrick Walker (“Lessons in Chemistry”), John Pyper-Ferguson (“Suits”) and Emma Kenney (“Shameless”) are set to star in Jordan Tortorello’s “Crowbar.” Rafael Cebrián (“Narcos”), Josh Sussman (“Glee”), Briana Price (“Divorced Sistas”), Briana Cuoco, Toby Hemingway and Mikayla Lashae Bartholomew also star in the film.

Per the press release, the film is about “Levi (Walker), a struggling actor, lands the lead role in ‘Bradshaw’ — a psychological war drama shot inside his own home. As the crew invades his space and a volatile director (Pyper-Ferguson) pushes him to his limits the line between Levi and his character dissolves. Haunted by grief, isolation and paranoia he spirals into a breakdown — leaving audiences questioning what was real, what was performance and whether the movie was ever really about Michael Bradshaw at all.”

Production on the film has wrapped in Burbank, California. It is Tortorello’s directorial debut, and he’s also a producer through his MixedMedia banner. Brad Rundblade and Patrick Walker, who wrote the film with Tortorello, are also producers. Chris Tortorello and Beth Tortorello serve as executive producers, with Penny Sandzimier as line producer and Sami Tortorello and Joe Bohn as associate producers. Lauren and Jordan Bass, CSA, were in charge of casting through Bass Casting.

“‘Crowbar’ is an incredibly personal film about identity pressure and what happens when the lines between performance and reality completely break down,” Jordan Tortorello said in a statement. “Built completely independently and self-financed from the ground up, this project is a testament to what happens when passionate like-minded people come together to create their own opportunities.”

Walker is repped by Unbreakable Entertainment, Gersh and attorney John Meigs. Pyper-Ferguson is repped by Talentworks. Kenney is repped by Allison Band at Gersh and Mike Gillespie at Brave Artists Management. Serbian is repped by Innovative Artists, Strand Entertainment and TFG PR. Sussman is repped by ATB & The Michael Abrams Group. Price is repped by Thruline.
