A pair of pilots have described seeing a UFO that looks somewhat like a pill of medicine floating in the skies above Ohio, saying it was a ‘highly reflective’ object.
In an account told to the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC), which is not affiliated with the US government, these pilots explained they were flying a private jet above the US and about to enter a thunderstorm when they saw it.
They said this pill-shaped UFO was ‘oriented vertically and appeared to have a metallic surface without seams or any flight control appendages’.
From their perspective it seemed to emerge from the storm clouds ahead of them and looked to be heading towards their plane, but it ended up on their left and they flew within two miles of the craft which was flying at an altitude of 41,000ft.
Despite investigation there’s been no satisfactory answer to what this UFO might be, so the mystery remains.

NUFORC said that the flying object wasn’t detected by FAA radar or picked up on the aircraft’s traffic collision avoidance system, so it could have just been a balloon which ended up being spotted by two pilots in a storm.
While this possibility has been considered the NUFORC have said that they can’t find information on corresponding balloon launches or any alert to the FAA which is supposed to happen in such an event.
The pilots also described this strange object as being about 30ft in height without tapering in the shape, which would likely discount the possibility of it being a balloon.
There are many answers as to what it isn’t, but unfortunately it doesn’t pave a path to the answer that would solve the mystery of what it is, which is a common disappointment among UFO sightings.
There’s a reason they’re ‘unidentified’, after all, or they’d just by FO sightings.

The US government has been releasing documents they’ve gathered on UFO sightings including videos of ‘swarming’ objects in the sky and the various accounts witnesses have given of seeing them.
One of the most recent sightings released as part of this new measure featured a strange black triangle above the western US with multiple military sources saying it resembled a ‘delta wing drone’ but moved as quickly as a fighter jet.
They described how it appeared to be ‘hotter than ambient temperature’ when viewed through a thermal camera but did not have a visible exhaust, with it climbing to an altitude of around 200 feet and hovering before moving away quickly.
Despite the several witnesses who saw it there’s not a clear answer on what this one was either, but the mystery remains tantalising.
