Banking apps Revolut and Lloyds appear to be down for customers nationwide, with users saying their payments are being declined.
According to tracking website DownDetector, reports from Revolut users experiencing issues with mobile and online banking have spiked in the past couple of hours.
Users have since taken to social media to report issues with payments being declined. “My @Revolut card got declined this morning when I tried to pay for my coffee,” wrote one X user, while a second person claimed they were unable to get home from a late shift.
Revolut has since confirmed the outage, posting the following statement on X: “Hi. We are currently experiencing a service disruption affecting multiple features, which may result in some services being inaccessible. Our engineering team is actively working to restore full service as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
