Heat forward Simone Fontecchio is reportedly staying put as he intends to sign a one-year deal with the team, per ESPN’s Shams Charania. Fontecchio shot 37.5% on 3-pointers last year and averaged 8.5 points, 3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game for Miami.

Fontecchio was a key part of Miami’s bench rotation last season, appearing in 70 games at 16.7 minutes per game. A former standout player in Italy, Fontecchio was traded to the Heat last summer as part of the sign-and-trade deal Duncan Robinson struck with the Detroit Pistons.
