Reports: Forward Dean Wade opts to sign 4-year deal with 76ers

Dean Wade, a versatile forward, has played all seven years of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Dean Wade is moving on from the only team he’s ever known.

ESPN reported Tuesday that Wade will be signing with the Philadelphia 76ers on a four-year deal for $39 million. The Associated Press also reported on Wade’s signing with the 76ers.

Wade, a versatile forward, has played all seven years of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He’s averaged 5.3 points per game and shot 36.7% on 3-pointers in 342 career games, and he’s started 160 of the 342 games he’s played.

Wade, 29 years old, started a career-high 38 games for the Cavaliers in 2025-26.

He played a key role for Cleveland in the playoffs this season, averaging more than 20 minutes against both Detroit and Toronto and 19.8 minutes in the conference finals against the eventual champion Knicks.
