Dominik Szoboszlai was the hero for Liverpool as his 88th minute penalty helped the Reds secure a 1-0 win over Inter Milan during Matchday 6 of the Champions League.
Alessandro Bastoni’s jersey tug on Florian Wirtz inside the Inter box went to a VAR review, which resulted in a late penalty opportunity for Liverpool. Szoboszlai would step up and win the points away from home.
The goal was a longtime coming for Liverpool, which thought it had gone ahead in the first half after Ibrahima Konaté put one home. But the goal was overturned following a VAR review for handball.

Both Liverpool and Inter now sit on 12 points, three behind Arsenal and Bayern Munich at the top of the table. The Gunners visit Club Brugge on Wednesday.
The other English team to win Tuesday were Spurs, who saw second-half penalties from Mohammed Kudus and Xavi Simons propel them to a 3-0 win over Slavia Prague to move into ninth place.
Spurs, playing in front of a visiting Son Heung-min, went ahead in the 26th minute, thanks to a David Zima own goal and never looked back.
Chelsea was the only English side to fail to get a result as the Blues fell to Atalanta 2-1. João Pedro had given the visitors a lead in the first half with his first Champions League goal of the season, but Atalanta would tie it in the 55th minute and then take the three points after Charles De Ketelaere’s winner in the 83rd minute.
Chelsea is now winless in its last four matches in all competitions. Its last win came against Barcelona during Matchday 5 on Nov. 25.

Bayern has now gone unbeaten during the Champions league group and league phase over 37 matches, a streak dating to 2013.
Jules Koundé saved the day for Barcelona as his brace in a three-minute span helped it to a 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
Elsewhere around the grounds, Marseille edged Union St.-Gilloise, and Atlético Madrid topped PSV with both matches ending 3-2, while Monaco and Olympiacos were both 1-0 victors over Galatasaray and Kairat, respectively.
