  • ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Directors Tease Hulk Return, Say More Secret Characters Coming

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Directors Tease Hulk Return, Say More Secret Characters Coming

Think the full cast is already known for Avengers: Doomsday?

    Think again.

Despite containing 31 announced Marvel characters (full list below), Doomsday directors Joe and Anthony Russo say even more characters are appearing in the team-up superhero film — including, quite possibly, the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

Speaking to Empire Online, Russo said, “[Bruce Banner] is certainly involved in the story that revolves around Doom. We will not confirm nor deny his appearance in Doomsday.” (So that sounds like a yes).

Anthony Russo then added, “The farthest we can go is to say, there are characters and actors who have not been announced, who are a part of Doomsday.”

Anthony recently told The AP: “The MCU is this massive experiment in how vast, how much scope can an ensemble really have?” The duo also confirmed they started shooting Doomsday without a completed script: “We always view the script as a living organism,” Joe said. “We’re improvisation-based, rehearsal-based directors. We like to see what the actors bring to the characters, and sometimes you don’t get the actors until a few days or a few weeks before you shoot them. And a lot of the time, that’s when the magic happens.”

The duo are currently promoting the re-release of Avengers: Endgame, which has racked up another $86 million over the weekend. The film grossed $2.8 billion back in 2019 and now includes four new end-credits scenes to help set up Doomsday. Joe Russo has previously called Endgame “required viewing for following the story in Doomsday.”

Here’s the full list of confirmed characters appearing in Doomsday:

MCU veterans: Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Sam Wilson/Captain America (Anthony Mackie), Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Ant-Man/Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), Shuri/Black Panther (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Namor (Tenoch Huerta Mejía), Falcon/Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez).

The Fantastic Four: Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn), Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach).

Thunderbolts/New Avengers: Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian/Alexei Shostakov (David Harbour), U.S. Agent/John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Ghost/Ava Starr (Hannah John-Kamen), Sentry/Bob Reynolds (Lewis Pullman).

X-Men/Fox-Era Characters: Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), Magneto/Erik Lehnsherr (Ian McKellen), Cyclops/Scott Summers (James Marsden), Beast/Hank McCoy (Kelsey Grammer), Nightcrawler/Kurt Wagner (Alan Cumming), Mystique/Raven (Rebecca Romijn), Gambit/Remy LeBeau (Channing Tatum).

Plus: Doctor Doom/Victor von Doom (Robert Downey Jr.), Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) and Namora (Mabel Cadena).

Doomsday opens in theaters Dec. 18.

  • Ken Jeong, Daniel Dae Kim, Randall Park Starring in ‘The Moons of LA’ Coming-of-Age Comedy Series at Audible

Ken Jeong, Randall Park and Daniel Dae Kim lead the star-studded cast of Audible’s new comedy series “The Moons of LA” — featuring a meta twist involving a kid who’s obsessed with true-crime podcasts and uses her investigative skills to save her parents’ marriage.

“The Moons of LA” premieres Oct. 8 exclusively at Audible. The comedy audio series is co-produced by Kim’s 3AD production company, marking the latest collaboration under his first-look deal with Audible. It comes after 2024’s “Yellow Face,” Kim’s Audible Original adaptation of David Henry Hwang’s play of the same name that transferred to Broadway with Kim in the lead role.

“The Moons of LA” also stars Jae Suh Park and Alyssa Abiera, alongside a predominantly AAPI cast including Jimmy O. Yang, John Cho, Sherry Cola, Vivian Bang, Sydney Park and Liza Soberano.

The coming-of-age comedy follows Chloe Moon (played by Abiera), a precocious middle schooler obsessed with true-crime podcasts who dreams of becoming an investigative journalist. When she discovers her parents’ marriage is on the rocks, Chloe does what any aspiring detective would do: She launches an investigation. Armed with a microphone and relentless curiosity, she interviews family and friends — from gregarious halmeonis over plates of banchan to her father’s boisterous golf buddies — determined to solve the mystery of her parents’ relationship and save her family.

Written by Paul Bae (“The Black Tapes”) and directed by James Kim (“Moonface”), “The Moons of LA” is executive produced by Kim, Jeong, John Cheng, Will Malnati and Ashley Taylor. The series is co-produced by Audible, 3AD and At Will Media.

“I’m excited to continue our partnership with Audible on Paul Bae’s wonderful ‘The Moons of LA,’” Kim said in a statement provided to Variety. “We’ve been lucky enough to bring together a stellar cast to tell a story that is both unique to Korean American identity and universal in its exploration of the definition of personal success. I’m grateful to 3AD, our entire creative team and Audible for bringing it to life.”

Jeong commented: “I’m so grateful to be part of ‘The Moons of LA.’ I’m very thankful to my friend Daniel, our amazing writer Paul Bae and the incredible cast and team who brought this project to life. I’m honored to be involved, and I’m excited for people to hear it.”

  • Chile’s Sanfic Set to Screen Late Documentarian Antonio Caro’s Swan Song ‘Monguen’ Among Nine Chilean Pics in Competition (EXCLUSIVE)

Chile’s 22nd Santiago Film Festival (Sanfic) features nine pics in its Chile Film Competition this year vying for cash prizes in the best film, director and actor categories. Among them, four are debut features, including “Erratics” by Thomas Woodroffe, which competed at the San Sebastian Festival’s New Directors sidebar.

The lineup also features ‘Monguen,’ the swan song of docu filmmaker Antonio Caro, who died unexpectedly a few weeks ago. “We present his film with special affection, as a way of honoring his work and keeping his perspective present within this selection,” said Sanfic artistic director, Carlos Núñez.

“This competition reflects a particularly diverse moment in Chilean cinema, with films that engage with our present through very different languages, territories and generations. There are works that cross between fiction and documentary, new voices alongside filmmakers with established careers, and a strong presence of perspectives emerging outside traditional centers of production,” he pointed out.

“We want Sanfic to be precisely that kind of space: a place where Chilean cinema can connect with its audiences while, at the same time, reaching an international stage.”

Chile’s film industry has never been more robust, with the 2026-2027 industry catalog reporting a 20.5% surge compared to the last season. The catalog was unveiled at the San Sebastián Festival where eight Chilean titles screened across seven sections.

However, the industry is bracing for some belt tightening – and will most likely resort to even more co-productions starting next year – given the upcoming cuts announced by the administration of new President Jose Antonio Kast, who took office in March. Cuts to the Ministry of Culture and various competitive funds for the Arts are forthcoming although the ministry downplayed the cutback, stressing that it would be an overall decrease of 9% next year. However, the Audiovisual Investment Support Fund drops from approximately $586,000 (540 million pesos) in 2026 to $208,000 (192 million pesos) in 2027—a 64% reduction.

Speaking to Variety when the news first broke, Alejandra Garcia of Ronda Cine, producer of “The Meltdown,” Chile’s Oscars submission, said: “The recent budget cuts to culture in Chile are deeply frustrating. It’s difficult to understand why a country’s support for culture is still seen as an expense to be reduced, rather than an investment that should be strengthened.”

The other nine sections of the festival will be announced on Oct. 20.

Sanfic runs Nov. 2 – 6 in Santiago de Chile.

    Chilean Pics in Competition:

“Animals” (Andrés Waissbluth Weinstein, Retaguardia Films, Avispa Cine, Frutacina, Chile, Argentina)

In a near future where animals have civil rights, three privileged couples see their lives disrupted by an eerily human quadruped: a sheep running for office, a dog that can sniff out lies and a jealous cat. Produced by Felipe Azúa and Iván Eibuszyc, the Chilean-Argentine Sanfic world premiere was developed through Santiago Lab, BrLab and Guadalajara’s Co-production Meeting, with support from CORFO, Ibermedia and Buenos Aires’ Mecenazgo program.

    ‘Animales’

“Beat” (“Latir,” Patricio Loutit Azócar, Suroeste Films, Reinos Cine, Chile)

Loutit Azócar’s feature debut follows Manuel, a retired university professor who joins a body-percussion workshop during Chile’s 2022 constitutional plebiscite. The experience transforms his life as he confronts his wife’s terminal illness. World premiering at Sanfic, it was produced by Manuel González Llanos and Daniel Rebolledo. The Chilean production received support from the Audiovisual Development Fund in 2024 and participated in Industria FIC Viña’s 2024 business meetings.

    ‘Beat’

“Black Corp,” (“Cuadro Negro,”Carolina Adriazola and José Luis Sepúlveda, Iglo Cine Chile)

Adriazola and Sepúlveda’s film follows Sofía, a young journalist documenting the Chilean army who returns to live with her grandmother after a breakup. She meets María, whose view of the military legacy contrasts with her grandmother’s. Produced by Sofía Paloma Gómez, José Luis Sepúlveda and Carolina Adriazola, the film premiered at Punto de Vista, winning the Grand Prize for Best Film and Youth Jury Award for Best Film. It marks its Latin American premiere.

    ‘Black Corp’

“Death Brought You Back” (“La muerte te vio volver,” Sebastián Cuevas Barria, Praxia Producciones, Mala Films, Chile; Vert & Bleu Productions, France)

Cuevas Barria’s debut follows Silvia, returning to Chiloé after 30 years to claim her dying mother’s inheritance and confront a disturbing family past. Produced by Catalina Alarcón Reyes, it received support from Chile’s Audiovisual Fund and was developed through Sanfic Lab, CCC and the Lebu Film Festival Lab. Selected for Sanfic’s 2024 Ibero-American WIP, it won the Films en Cours Award at Entrevues Belfort and FECILS’ Sound Award. Participated in Ventana Sur in Montevideo.

    ‘Death Brought You Back’

“Erratics” (“Bloques Erráticos,” Thomas Woodroffe, La Belle Affaire Productions, Un Puma, Chile, France, Argentina)

Woodroffe’s debut follows filmmaker Lucien Castelnau’s ghost, played by France’s Denis Lavant (“Holy Motors”), released from a glacier after a century into a futuristic Patagonia where technological progress collides with forgotten histories. A Rotterdam CineMart winner produced by Rodrigo Díaz, Pascual Mena and Jérôme Blesson, the Chilean-French-Argentine co-production was developed through La Fabrique Cinéma, TorinoFilmLab, CineMart Darkroom and Sanfic Lab. Selected for San Sebastián’s New Directors, it received Eurimages’ New Lab Outreach Award and support from Chile’s Audiovisual Fund and TorinoFilmLab’s Co-production Fund.

    ‘Erratics’

“Floating Population” (“Población Flotante,” Carlos Araya Díaz, Maria una vez, Chile)

Araya Díaz’s docu-fiction hybrid follows a filmmaker reconnecting with a childhood friend through an actor’s voice, revisiting his final days as a bus worker. World premiered at Czech Republic’s Ji.hlava Fest and marking its Latin American premiere at Sanfic, the film was produced by María Paz González and developed through Encuentros Australes at FIC Valdivia, where it won Best Chilean Film of the Future (First Cut) in 2023, plus WIP selections at FIC Viña del Mar.

    ‘Floating Population’

“Inner Rebellion” (“Rebelión Interior,” Sofía Paloma Gómez Vergara, La Jauría Comunicaciones, Chile)

Gómez Vergara’s documentary revisits Chile’s social uprising through a health brigade treating protesters injured by police repression, connecting present violence with dictatorship-era wounds. World premiering at Sanfic, it was produced by Catalina Alarcón Reyes and developed through FIC Valdivia’s Cine Chileno del Futuro, where it won Best Chilean Film of the Future (Post-production) and the Sonamos Award. It also participated in WIP FicViña, DocsMX and Fidba’s LINK-WIP and received national post-production funding in 2025.

    ‘Inner Rebellion’

“Monguen” (“Life,” Antonio Caro, Lemuntu Producciones, Totem Producciones, Chile)

The late Caro’s documentary feature follows Fresia, a young Mapuche woman from Alto Biobío who must leave her community to give birth in the city, navigating motherhood between two worlds. World premiering at Sanfic, the film is produced by Michel Toledo and was developed through Conecta CCDoc, Residencia Arca, Nuevas Miradas EICTV, Hot Docs Forum, Cannes Docs at Marché du Film and Encuentros Australes Fic Valdivia.

“The Tiger of the East” (“El Tigre del Este,” Jorge Acevedo, Yareta Films, Queltehue Films, Chile; Estudio Churubusco, Mexico)

Acevedo’s debut pic follows Andrés, a young Chilean muleteer and self-taught musician who leaves his hometown to pursue his dream of becoming a professional musician in Mexico. His wish to gift an original song to Los Tigres del Norte inspires the journey. Produced by Mixie Araya Soler, the Chilean-Mexican co-production premiered at Shanghai Film Festival. Developed since 2018, the project has participated in international labs and markets including Cannes Docs, DocsMX and FiDocs.

  • Bitcoin reclaims $84k as ETF inflows and strategy buying counter profit-taking

On-chain data show holders continuing to realize profits after the recent rally, creating a test of whether fresh demand can absorb that supply.

    Bitcoin ETFs extend inflow streak

US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $31 million in net inflows on Monday, according to data obtained from CoinGlass.

It was the eighth consecutive trading day of positive flows, although Monday’s amount was modest compared with the previous week’s larger gains.

The funds drew approximately $2.4 billion during the week ending September 25, their strongest weekly inflow since October 2025.

That buying helped reverse the funds’ year-to-date net outflow and provided a source of demand during Bitcoin’s advance above $85,000 last week.

An inflow streak indicates sustained interest in ETF exposure, but its size matters as much as its length.

Monday’s $31.07 million was positive without approaching the pace of the previous week’s biggest sessions. Traders will be watching whether flows strengthen again as Bitcoin tests resistance.

Corporate buying continued alongside ETF demand. Strategy disclosed on Monday that it acquired 1,665 $BTC for approximately $142.7 million between September 21 and 27.

The purchase raised its holdings to 847,666 $BTC, making it the largest public corporate Bitcoin treasury by a wide margin.

The purchase followed a 950 $BTC addition the previous week. Strategy’s latest filing also detailed repurchases of about $152 million in STRC preferred shares, showing that it is managing its capital structure while adding Bitcoin.

A corporate acquisition removes coins from the market at the time of purchase, but it cannot establish a price floor.

The impact on $BTC depends on how much other holders are willing to sell and whether broader investment demand continues.

Santiment’s Network Realized Profit/Loss measure rose on Monday after two pronounced spikes the previous week.

The metric tracks the profit or loss realized when coins move on-chain.

A positive spike can indicate that holders are transferring coins after substantial price gains, potentially adding selling pressure.

Last week’s profit-taking reading reached its highest level since December 12, 2025, as Bitcoin’s rally slowed near its recent highs.

Monday’s spike was smaller, suggesting the pace of realized gains had eased, though it had not disappeared.

This leaves Bitcoin balancing two visible trends: continued buying through ETFs and corporate treasuries, and selling by holders taking gains.

A quieter profit-taking period could make it easier for $BTC to advance, provided incoming demand holds up.

$BTC price tests the $85,000 resistance

Bitcoin remained above its 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day exponential moving averages in the supplied daily-chart analysis.

Those averages were clustered between roughly $74,100 and $77,500, keeping the broader chart structure constructive despite the recent pullback.

The relative strength index stood near 62, in positive territory without signaling an overbought market.

Meanwhile, a flattening MACD histogram suggested that upward momentum had paused.

The first upside test is $85,000. A daily close above that level would strengthen the case for another advance, while repeated rejection could prolong consolidation.

On the downside, the 50-day EMA near $77,586 is the first major moving-average support.

The 100-day and 200-day EMAs near $74,130 and $74,350 form a lower support zone.

Bullish Momentum Cools as Solana (SOL) Price Approaches a Key Resistance—What’s Next?

Solana has continued to maintain a strong ascending structure, forming a series of higher highs and lows. After recovering from its June lows, the rally has gained strong momentum and has been defending the broader uptrend even in times of short-term correction. With the $SOL price now trading around $119, the latest price action suggests that momentum remains bullish, although the rally is beginning to show signs of slowing near resistance. A short-term pullback may drag the levels lower, but a rise beyond $125 appears to be imminent.

Solana Price Faces a Key Resistance

Following a recovery from levels around $65, the $SOL price has been rising consistently, with the lower trendline providing dynamic support. The latest advance pushed $SOL toward the upper boundary of the broader ascending structure. The price is currently trading close to $120 after facing a rejection from the intraday highs. The chart is currently showing signs of hesitation near the resistance, while the upper trendline is currently positioned around the $127 to $128 region, which is an important area for a potential breakout.

Walkouts, clashes and moments that defined UNGA 2026

From mass walkouts and heated exchanges to protests, this year’s UN General Assembly produced no shortage of memorable moments. But beneath the spectacle, the event was marked by deep divisions over the Gaza genocide and the war on Iran.

  • Did Trump tell Tucker Carlson ‘we all die anyway’ to dismiss Iran war concerns?

Did Trump tell Tucker Carlson ‘we all die anyway’ to dismiss Iran war concerns?

    • The claim that U.S. President Donald Trump dismissed conservative pundit Tucker Carlson’s concerns about starting the Iran war during a February 2026 conversation by saying “we all die anyway” is unrated.
    • The rumor stems from an NPR interview with Carlson released in late September. In it, Carlson said that days before the joint U.S.-Israel attack that began the war, Trump told Carlson that his concerns were justified but ultimately didn’t matter.
    • We have not rated this claim because there is no evidence beyond Carlson’s reported recollections that would allow us to confirm or disprove the president’s words.
    • The White House neither confirmed nor denied Carlson’s claims. Spokesperson Davis Ingle told Snopes over email, “Tucker Carlson is a whiny turncoat who dramatically overestimates his influence and relevance.” Snopes will update this report if, or when, additional information surfaces.

In September 2026, a claim spread online (archived) that U.S. President Donald Trump dismissed conservative pundit Tucker Carlson’s concerns about starting the Iran war in early 2026 by saying, “We all die anyway.”.

Snopes readers asked whether Trump said these exact words, as well as whether such a discussion between Carlson and Trump took place during the lead-up to the Iran war.

Did Tucker Carlson speak privately with Trump about the war with Iran that had not been started yet? Further, did Trump admit that there was no nuclear threat? And did Trump say, “We all have to die sometime”

Carlson claimed to have had this conversation with Trump just days before the U.S. and Israel started the Iran war with an attack that killed Iran’s supreme leader on Feb. 28, 2026. However, Trump has not confirmed or denied that such a conversation took place. As such, we leave this claim unrated.

The White House neither confirmed nor denied Carlson’s claims. Spokesperson Davis Ingle told Snopes over email, “President Trump is committed to ensuring that Iran can never have a nuclear weapon. Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson is a whiny turncoat who dramatically overestimates his influence and relevance.”

In an interview with NPR, released on Sept. 24, 2026, Carlson said he had disagreed with Trump about starting the Iran war (emphasis ours):

I said to Trump four days before the war started, “If you do this, the United States will be kicked out of the Gulf, the American empire will begin to collapse, your legacy will be destroyed, along with your party, and a lot of people are going to die.”

… But then I said [to Trump], “This war is not about Iran’s nuclear program, which you told me and the world that you eliminated back in last summer in June. This war is being pushed by Israel with three aims. One, its own regional hegemony. Take Iran off the map. They don’t have freedom of movement as long as Iran is a regional power. Two, diminishing the power of the GCC, the six Gulf states which are a rival to Israel and are becoming this kind of Switzerland of the Middle East. And that’s bad for Israeli interests. And three, getting the US out of the Middle East because we constrain their ambitions, getting our bases out, destroying our bases. Israel wants our bases out of the Middle East.”

I said this to Trump, to his face in the Oval Office, days before the war began. And he looked at me and said, “Yes, you’re right. But in the end, we all die anyway. So it doesn’t matter.” That’s exactly what he said. “In the end, we all die anyway.”

And I said to him, shocked, “But what about our kids, and our grandkids, and our country? And he goes “Aaah.”

    … I don’t know, he didn’t respond. That’s a verbatim exchange … as God watches I said that, okay?

Carlson added that Trump “should have been removed from office for threatening first-use nuclear strike.” Carlson also said Israel “caused” Trump to carry out the war on Iran. Carlson makes the first part of the above statement at the 19:52 mark and then at the 27:10 in the video available on NPR’s website:

Carlson was correct that Trump had previously said Iran’s nuclear program had been eliminated. In June 2025, the Trump administration launched airstrikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities, later claiming that they were “obliterated”. By February 2026, the Trump administration and Israel launched more attacks on Iran.

Without confirmation from the White House that this exchange occurred as Carlson described it, we are unable to definitively verify it ourselves. The White House did not address our specific questions. They also reportedly did not address NPR’s, instead directing the news organization to Trump’s Truth Social post from April 2026 in which he called Carlson and other pundits “stupid people” who want Iran to have a nuclear weapon.

Carlson, once a prominent Trump ally, now vociferously disagrees with the president on the war against Iran and said he deeply regrets his old support for Trump.

For further reading, Snopes has reported on numerous claims about Carlson.
