How to Make Sure You’re Getting the Very Best Robot Vacuum Deal
Our in-house, smart home expert Andrew Gebhart has been testing tech for over a decade and in that time has seen the robot vacuum and mop product category evolve (and explode). He’s here to tell you how to get this right vacuum to clean up any mess while saving you a mess of cash.
Never pay full price. Robot floor cleaners regularly see markdowns, so you can find discounts all the time. On a deal holiday like Prime Day, look for sales of at least 30% off the list price. This Eufy E25 Robot Vacuum and Mop is 40% off at the moment.
Don’t worry about the ban. Yes, the FCC recently added foreign robot vacuums to its Covered List, but previously approved and currently on-sale models are unaffected. So go grab that Eufy 11S Max deal without fear.
Prioritize navigation. Look for a robot vacuum with LiDAR at a minimum (like in the Roborock Qrevo 2 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop), and ideally a camera for obstacle avoidance, so it can move around your home without getting stuck. Avoid models with aimless “bump” navigation.
Get a self-emptying model. A robot vacuum that empties its own dustbin significantly reduces the maintenance you need between cleaning runs. It also limits your exposure to allergens and dirt. The Eufy Omni C20 Robot Vacuum and Mop has you covered there.
Aim for a roller mop. Some 2-in-1 robot vacuums like the Ecovacs Deebot T90 Pro Omni Robot Vacuum and Mop feature a mop that resembles a paint roller. In testing, these have proven to deliver superior scrubbing and stain removal with less cross-contamination than other mop designs.
