SACRAMENTO – The Kings pulled off a gritty comeback to defeat the Golden State Warriors Blue squad, 91-85, in the 2026 California Classic Summer League at Golden 1 Center on Sunday.
The Warriors led 52-42 at halftime and shot 50 percent from the field through the first half.
By the end of the third, however, Sacramento had trimmed the deficit to just one, 71-70, thanks to intensity on defense and Emanuel Sharp’s explosion on offense.
The rookie second-round pick (No. 45 overall) out of Houston scored 11 of his 18 points in the third quarter, including three 3-pointers.
Sharp’s shot 5-for-15 in the come-from-behind victory, hauling in seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block against just two turnovers.
Sacramento took its first lead of the game, 81-79, with 3:25 remaining, and held on to move to 2-0 in the California Classic.
The Kings outscored the Warriors 49-33 over the final two quarters.
Isaiah Stevens matched Sharp with 18 points to lead five Kings players in double figures. He added four assists and a steal while going 7-for-7 at the free throw line.
Viktor Lahkin was a force in the paint with 12 points (5-7 FGs), six rebounds, two steals and four blocks, while Marquel Sutton sparked off the bench with 16 points (5-8 FGs), seven rebounds and one steal.
Jacksen Moni led the way for Golden State with 18 points (4-8 FGs, 6-8 FTs), and RJ Nembhard finished with 17 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal off the bench. Nick Boyd chipped in 11 points (4-7 FGs), seven rebounds, 10 assists and one steal.
Both teams will wrap the California Classic on Monday, with the Kings facing the Milwaukee Bucks (10 ET; Prime Video & ESPN U) and Warriors Blue squaring off against the Brooklyn Nets (8 ET; Prime Video, ESPN+ & NBA TV).
