Prime Big Deal Days, Prime Day‘s clunkily-named sibling, has entered its final hours. And just like in years past, Amazon’s premium beauty department houses the savings really worth your while.

The 48-hour shopping holiday, concluding on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 11:59 p.m. PT, is Amazon’s second and final Prime member-exclusive savings event of the year — and for those not yet subscribed, the e-tailer offers a 30-day Prime free trial. (Students and young adults ages 18 to 24 can get a six-month free trial.) And while October Prime Day clearly has no shortage of savings, Amazon always has sales — So what’s actually worth scooping up over the next few hours?

With this question in mind, see below for 15 hand-selected beauty picks that rarely see a price drop.

Nothing is more shocking than seeing Aesop on sale, especially a product as popular as the body wash.

Clinique Black Honey is famous for its universally flattering tint.

Pair this liner with the brand’s Almost Lipstick Tinted Lip Balm in Black Honey ($20 $25). While it appears dark in the tube, the lightweight, hydrating formula glides on sheer and glossy.

Boasting its deepest discount to date, Elemis’ cult-favorite cleansing balm is available (and discounted) in all five varieties: Original, Rose, Black Cherry, Green Fig and Fragrance-Free.

No better time to spring for the Dyson hair tool that’s been on your wish list.

No one does a water-based gel moisturizer quite like Tatcha.

One more Tatcha staple. Arguably the best lip mask on the market.

The perfect holiday gift doesn’t exi—.

The seven-piece skin-care set includes cleanser, facial scrub, a face mask, eye cream, face cream, body cream and hyaluronic acid.

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Lancôme Lash Idôle achieves unmatched length, lift and volume, while remaining entirely clump-free. Yes, Lancôme is no stranger to sales, but 35 percent off our all-time favorite mascara is steep.

Another multipurpose workhorse from Elemis, serving as a daily moisturizer, sunblock and a radiant base layer for daily makeup.

No one does setting spray better than Urban Decay. Your makeup will not budge.

Pair with the setting powder of all setting powders. It keeps shine at bay while ensuring skin still looks like skin.

  • Men’s hair growth treatment improves receding hairline in ‘three months’ and is now only £23

Men’s hair growth treatment improves receding hairline in ‘three months’ and is now only £23

Hair thinning is a normal part of life. As men age, changes in hair growth can be driven by genetics and hormones, which can eventually lead to hair loss.

The NHS says: “In men, hair loss usually begins above the temples causing a receding hairline. This progressing hair loss continues on the top of the head leading to increasingly thin hair then often to baldness.”

However, some men think they might have found an ‘insane’ hair treatment that actually works to regenerate hair that they may have lost in the early stages.

Better yet, the ‘insane’ solution is currently reduced to just £23 on Amazon as part of the Prime Big Deal Days sale.

The deal is running for a limited time only, so you only have until midnight tonight to make the most of it.

Allegedly, when used continuously across a couple of months, shoppers are seeing a difference in terms of their hair growth. In turn, it’s massively effected their confidence and wellbeing.

As well as a solution, the treatment also comes in a foam that’s handy to apply. While the solution offers precise scalp application, the foam offers broader coverage and is also formulated with glycerin for added hair styling benefits.

Both treatments aim to target hereditary hair loss, prevent further hair loss and encourage hair regrowth. They’re also available as multipacks to buy as part of a continued treatment.

What do reviews say about the hair loss treatment?

The Regaine Hair Loss treatment can have variable effects, working differently for everyone. It goes without saying, but this isn’t going to be a miracle product and results are certainly not instant.

However, those who’ve had the most success from the treatment have urged reviewers to be patient and stick to the using the treatment consistently.

One fan who found the product worked for them commented: “I am 20 years old, my hair started to recede and thin due to stress. After a few days of use, a new line of baby hair began to grow in front of my current hairline.”

While another revealed: “I’m 37 and started to see my hairline receding. After two months use I can see that the hair is starting to grow back. The new hair isn’t that thick and are more like baby hairs, however my overall hairline does look better.”

    What are the ingredients?

The active ingredient within the Regaine Hair Loss treatments is minoxidil. It works by widening blood vessels and increasing the blood flow to the hair follicles on the scalp.

This helps deliver more oxygen and nutrients to stimulate and prolong hair growth.

According to the NHS, “minoxidil solution has been used successfully in treating people with hair loss for a variety of reasons.”

How to use the hair loss treatment?

Always read the label and, if necessary, consult with a doctor before use. Read more information and FAQs on Regaine’s site, here.

How to use the Regaine Hair Loss Treatment:

    • Wash your hands before using
    • You hair and scalp should be thoroughly dry before application

Woman who survived colon cancer three times shares key symptom she ignored at first

A 20-year cancer survivor has shared her story of resilience after being diagnosed with the disease three times over the course of her life—and an early symptom she chalked up to dietary choices.

Danielle Ripley-Burgess is a communications professional who was first diagnosed with stage three colon cancer when she was 17.

However, her symptoms began three years earlier when she first started to see suspect ‘specks of blood’ in her stool.

Instead of alerting her parents that something could be amiss, the 14-year-old ignored the symptom, believing she was eating ‘too much red food’.

“I put myself on a ‘no red foods diet’ and stopped eating anything that was red in colour: everything from candy to pizza to salsa to raspberry Popsicles,” she confessed to NBC News.

Danielle Ripley-Burgess admitted she ignored an important bowel cancer symptom (Instagram/@DanielleisB)

“It took me a while to accept that I was actually seeing blood, but I still hid it from just about everybody I knew.

“I was already embarrassed about puberty changes happening, so that on top of this thing was just too much. I didn’t want to be sick and I didn’t feel sick at first.’

It took around two years for her to even mention the blood to her mother, with the pair quickly concluding that she must have haemorrhoids.

However, after overhearing her daughter speaking about the blood in her stool to her boyfriend and learning that she was dealing with ‘intense stomach pains’ and fatigue, Ripley-Burgess’ mother called a gastroenterologist.

The American was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer

Weeks after turning 17, the family learned that the blood in her stool was an early indicator of stage three bowel cancer.

After undergoing chemotherapy, radiation and surgery to remove the tumour, doctors also advised Ripley-Burgess to go under the knife to move her ovaries further up into her stomach to ‘preserve hormone function’.

By elevating them, she was told that she would no longer be able to conceive naturally.

Following her first hospital stint, the Kansas City native continued to get a colonoscopy every three years.

“Mentally and emotionally, it was way harder this time”

It was after a routine inspection that Ripley-Burgess learned she had a cancerous polyp, with experts informing her that she had stage one colon cancer at 25.

“Mentally and emotionally, it was way harder this time. I got really angry at a lot of things, but deep down just angry at God — how could you let this happen to me again?

“By this point, I was married, I had a house, I was working on a career, we’d been talking about adopting a child. All of a sudden, I realised I could lose all of these things,” she wrote for NBC News.

The author and inspirational speaker learned around this time that she had Lynch syndrome, an inherited genetic condition that greatly increases the risk of developing colorectal, uterine, and several other types of cancer at a young age, as per the Mayo Clinic.

Despite having a hysterectomy, a subtotal colectomy, which took out almost all of her colon, the mother-of-two adopted children was told that doctors had discovered more polyps in 2023.

This led her to undergo a permanent ileostomy, a surgical operation to bring the end of your small bowel through an opening in your tummy to form a stoma, the NHS explained.

    “Don’t downplay what you’re seeing”

Speaking about advice she would give to her younger self, the three-time cancer survivor said: “It would be: Don’t be embarrassed about your body.

“If you’re seeing something with your body that’s uncomfortable and weird, and you’re not ready yet to tell a doctor, tell somebody — a friend or family member.”

She added: “Don’t sit in that place of: something is wrong with your body, and you don’t know what it is. Don’t sit there alone. Don’t downplay what you’re seeing.”

Dad, 39, told he had two years to live after he suddenly ‘felt funny’ while playing football

A dad who was told he had just two years left with his family before the end of his life has said he now feels ‘incredibly positive about the future’ following a major transplant.

Ellis Dawson led a busy and stressful life, often spending time working away through his job as a software product director.

Raising two daughters, and also spending his time juggling playing football and cycling, everything changed in a tragic instant.

While playing a football match last January, Ellis told of how he suddenly ‘felt funny’ and his condition quickly got worse. He began vomiting and suffering what he suspected was a panic attack.

“I started to feel funny mid-game,” he said. “I went in goal for 15 minutes or so to see if the feeling would clear up, but it got worse and I knew something more serious was up.

Ellis with his partner after leaving the transplant centre (Manchester University of NHS Foundation Trust)

Ellis with his partner after leaving the transplant centre (Manchester University of NHS Foundation Trust)

“I walked back to my car and it became clear I was in no fit state to drive. My chest was hurting and my left arm ached a lot, so I called my dad to pick me up.

“When I got home I spoke to my wife about it, in my head I knew they were heart attack symptoms but I always imagined a heart attack to feel like a much more serious emergency situation.

“I then started being sick and thought it was a panic attack so used calming breathing techniques and fell asleep on the floor. My wife found me and after reading up on the symptoms, feared I would be dead in the morning.”

    Ellis had ‘widow maker’ blockage

Ellis went to A&E at Royal Stoke University Hospital where he had an ECG, confirming he was having a heart attack.

Two stents had to be inserted to open up his left anterior descending artery, which had become 95 percent blocked with a blood clot.

“I was still walking around convinced nothing was wrong, but it definitely wasn’t the case,” he explained. “We later learned that the artery is colloquially called ‘the widow-maker’ because blockages here are so often fatal in men.

Ellis in hospital (Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust)

Ellis in hospital (Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust)

“I always remember when I was moaning about not being able to run, one of my consultants said: ‘At the moment you just need to be grateful you’re alive and that you didn’t go into cardiac arrest.’ It really hit home for me how serious it was.”

“I got the news I’d have two years to live… which was a massive shock”

Once Ellis’ stay in hospital was complete, an echocardiogram was conducted which showed his heart hadn’t healed.

Six months later, a follow-up MRI found there had still not been an improvement in his heart and Ellis received the news he would need to meet the team at Wythenshawe Hospital’s Heart and Lung Transplant Centre.

“It was pretty wild getting that news,” he said. “I had been warned at the start it may be a pathway I had to take, so it wasn’t too much of a shock as I’d already been on quite a journey by then.

“Because I was fit and healthy, albeit with a heart under significant stress, they were open to getting me on the list quickly. I still couldn’t run but was functioning in terms of basic life, I was still working and being a dad.

“Then I got the news that on my current meds, I’d have two years to live at best, which was a massive shock.”

By the December, Ellis was struggling with his walking and breathing due to his heart not pumping enough fluid around.

He spent Christmas with his loved ones, but said he could ‘barely pick up my kids’ and ‘struggled so badly’.

“I went on an intravenous (IV) drip and dropped a lot of fluid immediately,” he said. “The IV revitalised me and I was in a good space during my stay, I was on the hospital bike and exercising.

“It all felt promising even though I was having constant short ventricular tachycardia events – so my heart was really not happy.”

Ellis now says he's optimistic about the future (Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust)

    Transplant surgery saved Ellis’ life

After attending Wythenshawe Hospital in south Manchester the following a month, a donor heart became available despite only two weeks of waiting. He went on to have the surgery on 31 January.

“I was super lucky and a heart became available, I couldn’t believe my luck that I’d only been waiting two weeks as the wait is usually much, much longer.

“The feeling of excitement that it might happen was massive, I felt pretty amazing and focused for the next few days.

“I kept myself focused, continued exercising and mentally preparing. It got very emotional but before I knew it the procedure had begun and I awoke a day later.

“On my first day I was able to sit in a chair and I started eating pretty quickly. Two and a half weeks of progress later I was allowed home.

“Knowing that the NHS is the only provider of heart transplant care in the UK makes you realise just how exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable the team truly are.”

He continued: “Since leaving I have had to adapt, the biggest thing now is my immunosuppression, so I have to consciously be aware of what I do day to day.

“I try to avoid public transport, supermarkets, any kind of busy enclosed spaces where I can, but for the most part I am back to a normal life.

“Fatigue is a bit of a battle at the moment, I have to manage my energy properly across every day which can be tough to balance with work.

“It’s the same with my kids, they certainly don’t slow down for me. Although I have been glad to have them on my own as my wife really needed a break – she has done so much to manage the family when I was ill.

“It’s been a tremendous recovery and the new heart genuinely felt like a quick fix, my chest hurt for the first few weeks from being cut open, but I’m otherwise fine.”

Ellis is now supporting the team who saved him (Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust)

Ellis is now supporting the team who saved him (Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust)

Ellis said he now feels ‘incredibly positive’ about the future despite the ordeal.

He now plans to join some of his transplant peers from Wythenshawe Hospital and enter this year’s Transplant Games in the football category, something he said will be very emotional as the last match he played was the one during which he had his heart attack.

He added: “You would think I would be making wild and crazy plans, but honestly, having my everyday routine back is the greatest feeling.

“When you have been on the cusp of losing it all, you just want your normal life back. My biggest priority now is to stay as fit and healthy as I can to truly honour the gift I have received.”

Nothing fails to roll off the tongue quite like Prime Big Deal Days. Regardless, Prime Day‘s clunkier sibling has a solid list of savings worth snapping up.

The 48-hour shopping holiday, which kicked off Oct. 6 at 12:01 a.m. PT, is Amazon‘s second and final Prime member-exclusive savings event of the year — and for those not yet subscribed, the e-tailer offers a 30-day Prime free trial.

Even better, students and young adults ages 18 to 24 can get a six-month free trial to Amazon Prime. The plan will then auto-renew at $7.49 per month, half the price of a regular monthly Prime membership.

Prime Big Deal Days 2026: What to Buy

As someone who’s been covering Prime Day since 2018, I have found a few key categories that consistently deliver the most significant (and timely) savings. These include:

See below for 15 standouts across these key categories.

No better time to spring for the Dyson hair tool that’s been on your wish list.

Boasting its deepest discount to date, Elemis’ cult-favorite cleansing balm is available (and discounted) in all five varieties: Original, Rose, Black Cherry, Green Fig and Fragrance-Free.

Another multipurpose workhorse from Elemis, serving as a daily moisturizer, sunblock and a radiant base layer for daily makeup.

One of our readers’ most purchased items every Prime Day.

Fully switching gears, this is currently the No. 1 best-seller in Children’s Christmas Books (and a great holiday gift).

Another pick fit for holiday gifting.

When it comes to mascara, nothing beats Lancôme Lash Idôle — it achieves length, lift and volume, while remaining entirely clump-free.

One of our favorites from the What Goes Around Comes Around Amazon storefront.

Check out the Fire TV Stick HD ($15.99 $39.99) — also the newest model in its category — for an even more cost-conscious alternative.

A full coverage formula that still maintains a natural finish.

One more from Shopbop. Best flip-flops ever.

Iconic London’s Underglow primes and preps skin while minimizing the appearance of fine lines and pores.

Prime Big Deal Days 2026: What to Skip

As for the savings worth skipping, it really comes down to what’s going to see even further reductions during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. While it’s never a guarantee, we’d generally say to deprioritize TVs, laptops and other big-ticket electronics (not including Amazon-branded devices) along with major household appliances. In addition to the deeper discounts expected during the months ahead, competitor retailers (like The Home Depot and Best Buy) offer a wider selection of standout brands and models in said categories.

As Retailers Combat Prime Day Fatigue, Men’s Wearhouse Delivers Some of Its Best Deals to Date

If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, The Hollywood Reporter may receive an affiliate commission.

Sure, Prime Big Deal Days has its fair share of highlights, but many of the real sale standouts are coming from elsewhere. As the 48-hour shopping holiday takes over our feeds, alternative retailers are proving their discounts are just as good — perhaps even better.

For a limited time, Men’s Wearhouse is offering up to 50 percent off over 2,000 pieces: 30 percent off shoes, suits and sports coats; up to 40 percent off dress shirts; and up to half off pants, shorts and outerwear, exclusively online at menswearhouse.com.

Also available (and discounted) in black pebble leather.

A quarter-zip sweater is the ultimate wardrobe chameleon.

Along with the flash sale comes free shipping on Tuesday, Oct. 6 and Wednesday, Oct. 7, plus, up to 70 percent off hundreds of clearance finds across all categories.

Standout labels from the online-only event include Calvin Klein, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger, Awearness Kenneth Cole (the designer’s Men’s Wearhouse-exclusive collection) and Paisley & Gray (for more unique styles). As for shoes, our top picks span Cole Haan, Timberland, Gola, Florsheim and Clarks.

In terms of styling, collegiate-coded dressing is taking a front seat this fall, as the hottest shows of the season — like Off Campus and The Shards — are inspiring menswear for the cooler months ahead. The preppy academia fashion playbook spans luxe leather loafers, quarter-zip pullovers and casual knitwear, but regardless of trends, these cardigans, polo sweaters and crisp Oxfords never really go out of style.

Shop the full flash sale and clearance assortment online only at menswearhouse.com, and use code FREESHIPPING for free standard shipping on orders placed between Tuesday, Oct. 6 and Wednesday, Oct. 7.
