Robert Williams III averaged 7 rebounds per game for Portland in 2025-26.
Robert Williams III, a versatile shot-blocking big man, reportedly plans to stay with the Trail Blazers. ESPN’s Shams Charania reports Williams plans to sign a three-year deal. Last season, which was Williams’ third in Portland, he posted 6.7 ppg, 7 rpg and 1.5 bpg in 17.1 minutes per game.

Williams has been slowed by injuries throughout his career, but his 59 games played last season were his most since a 61-game campaign in 2021-22 with the Boston Celtics. He and young center Donovan Clingan give Portland a strong frontcourt, which is lead by All-Star forward Deni Avdija.
The Blazers pulled off one of the major moves of the offseason the day before free agency began as they traded for former Memphis Grizzlies All-Star guard Ja Morant.
Portland sent forwards Jerami Grant and Kris Murray to the Grizzlies as part of the deal.
