The company’s bondholders will have the right to demand a cash repayment on November 30. If all investors exercise this right, Trump Media may have to pay approximately one billion dollars. In its official statement, the company warned that it may be necessary to sell digital assets, including Bitcoin, if refinancing or other measures prove insufficient.
However, a transfer to Crypto.com alone is not proof that a sale has taken place. Assets may have been moved for trading management, collateral arrangement, or custody purposes. Trump Media has previously made large Bitcoin transfers to Crypto.com and stated that these transactions were for custody and portfolio management, not sales.
Trump Media reported in an earlier statement dated July 31 that it held approximately 14,139 $BTC, including that held as collateral. Since the current total reserves have not been disclosed, it is not yet possible to confirm whether the recent transfer has reduced the company’s Bitcoin holdings.
