Shocking new photos have shown the aftermath when parts of the private jet that plummeted to the ground in Florida tore into a woman’s house.

The Learjet 60 was flying from Texas to the Bahamas and had seven passengers onboard plus two crew members when it plunged from the sky and hit the road before bursting into roaring flames.

A major investigation into the crash has now been launched, with investigators saying they were considering whether weather conditions may have been a factor, including whether ice on the aircraft was also part of the cause.

The seven people on board the flight have since been identified, with emotional tributes paid to the pilot, co-pilot, family and friends who were passengers.

Adam Robinson, 45, his wife, Helen Sharp, 40, and their two children, Emma, two, and Charlie, four as well as their children’s nanny Anita Maria Cetina and another couple, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr were all killed instantly.

Pilot Jeff Gregory, 55, and 20-year-old co-pilot Nathalia Filgueiras, have also been identified as being onboard when it crashed to the ground.

Tom Chapman of the US National Transportation Safety Board said at a press conference that they found ‘the majority of the aircraft’s left elevator’ in three pieces between 1.3 and 3.8 miles away from the scene of the crash in West Palm Beach.

Now, it’s revealed that part of the jet actually sliced through a woman’s roof, causing damage to her kitchen.

The photos obtained by WPBF 25 News appear to show aircraft metal on the kitchen floor of Ana Escobar’s home, who lives less than a mile from the crash site.

Her ceiling appeared to have been completely torn through, with a gaping hole left behind and debris strewn over her kitchen floor.

Chapman told a press conference Tuesday: “It tells us that at least some components, some pieces of the aircraft, important pieces of the aircraft separated before the impact.”

The NTSB say they are confident of recovering more debris from the crater which will help build more evidence as to what happened, as they are confident of finding ‘critical aircraft components’.

Before the colision, the private plane had dropped sharply in a matter of seconds shortly after noting that it was experiencing ‘light, clear ice that is manageable and moderate turbulence’.

A spokesperson for Bombardier, the manufacturer of the aircraft, told LADbible: “We at Bombardier are deeply saddened by this tragic event and extend our sincerest sympathies to all those affected.

“In accordance with Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation (ICAO), Bombardier cannot comment on the potential causes of an accident until the investigation is complete.

“The NTSB is best place to answer specific questions at this time.”
