Matera, a payment technology provider, Payfinia, a digital banking and payment services company, and Solana Foundation have demonstrated a new U.S. QR code payment standard called X9.150 at Money20/20 USA. The system allows customers to pay invoices through different payment networks using a single QR code, including bank transfers and $USDC on Solana.

The standard was approved in July 2026 by the American National Standards Institute’s Accredited Standards Committee X9. It aims to simplify payments by allowing businesses to accept different payment methods without creating separate payment processes for each network. Supported options include FedNow, the RTP network, ACH transfers, Zelle and stablecoins.
