Dogecoin holders just gained access to one of the largest merchant networks in crypto.
House of Doge and MoonPay have partnered to enable native $DOGE payments across more than 6,000 merchants through MoonPay Commerce, while also launching a new Dogecoin-focused checkout platform called ÐOGE Pay.
The move significantly expands Dogecoin’s real-world utility and could represent one of the largest merchant acceptance initiatives in the token’s history.
Dogecoin Meets Mainstream Commerce
Dogecoin has long ranked among crypto’s most recognizable assets, yet spending it has remained far less common than holding or trading it.
Through MoonPay Commerce, merchants can accept $DOGE payments across online, mobile, and point-of-sale environments while receiving settlement in fiat or stablecoins.
That means businesses can accept Dogecoin without taking on cryptocurrency price volatility.
Current MoonPay Commerce clients include Shopify, Fortune Media, and Dorsia.
Introducing ÐOGE Pay
Alongside the integration, the companies unveiled ÐOGE Pay, a dedicated merchant solution designed specifically for Dogecoin transactions.
Expected to launch in Q3, the platform will allow businesses to integrate $DOGE payments through a simplified onboarding process and a reported 1% processing fee.
“Dogecoin was created to function as a currency for the people,” said Marco Margiotta, CEO of House of Doge.
“Through this collaboration with MoonPay, we are embedding native Dogecoin acceptance directly into merchant infrastructure at global scale. By reducing friction for both consumers and businesses, we are accelerating Dogecoin’s evolution into a mainstream payment method.”
Turning Community Into Commerce
While Dogecoin remains one of the most recognized digital assets globally, supporters have long argued that its original purpose was everyday payments rather than store-of-value narratives.
Keith Grossman, President of MoonPay, said the partnership is designed to bridge the gap between Dogecoin’s community strength and real-world spending opportunities.
“Dogecoin has one of the largest and most passionate communities in crypto, but until now, there hasn’t been infrastructure to match that energy at the point of sale,” Grossman said.
“By bringing native Dogecoin support to MoonPay Commerce and co-building ÐOGE Pay with House of Doge, we’re giving thousands of merchants a direct line to millions of holders who are ready to spend.”
As competition intensifies among crypto payment providers, the partnership reflects a growing belief that the next phase of adoption may be driven less by trading activity and more by real-world transactions.
